Even if you're a Sr.Member no one will trade with you. Better try Virwox
Oh you'll get offers from other brand new members who will be delighted to take your Paypal. Of course, they'll claim that you have to send first since you can always reverse payment if you don't get your coins (which you won't). Trouble is, they'll offload those funds to a VCC that can't be clawed back, faster than you can process a reversal.
Good luck. Try virwox.com, nobody here will want to sell you BTC for PayPal funds due to it's reversible nature. The "friends and family" sending option does not in any way guarantee that the funds won't be reversed.
i have visited many sites, only one that i could find that will do this and it has been disable for maintenance. is there anyone out there that will sell me .5 bitcoins so i can complete a purchase with me using paypal friends and family?
i do not have a cell phone and do not plan to go out and get one in order to purchase .5 bitcoins.
