I have ASRock H81 Pro BTC and Biostar H81S2 motherboards for sale, but they run intel CPUs. You can get one pretty cheaply, though. They run 6 PCIe slots each.  PM if interested.

I've run 5x 1x-16x USB risers on this model. I've also used 1x-16x powered and unpowered risers in some slots, but I haven't tried it in every slot/every combo.

Just a quick tip:

Some motherboards have difficulty recognizing 5 cards or require shorting some PCIe pins to get cards recognized with risers. The sabertooth I mentioned has always recognized cards fine for me, but make sure to check on other boards. X number of PCIe does not always mean you can run X cards without headache.

Yea, that's why I'm looking for another one. Current board has 3 x16's and 1 x1. One of my X16's will not recognize a riser. I'm running cards directly in the other 2 x16's and a card off of the x1 with a riser fine. Don't want to cram another card in there directly in the other x16 slot because of airflow.

I am looking to switch to an older Intel platform (X58 mobo, with at least 5 PCIe slots, paired with a quad core i7 920/930/940/960/970/980X/990X) at the moment currently. I have an AM3+ 990FX ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0  motherboard, which has 4 16X and 1 1X PCIe slots, and 1 PCI slot. I also have a Phenom II 1090T CPU, to go with it.

Looking for an AM3+ MB that can run at least 5 cards.

Have a little BTC and a $20 amazon code.

I'm in the US.

Please let me know if you have something.
