These things can be had for free these days.

When I bought a miner locally, a seller wanted to give it to me for free and I even refused having free electricity.

Why would you refused if you have free electricity. Hook a bunch up and run them untill they get you enough for a s3 or s5. I wish some one would give me a bunch of s1 for free LOL I have free power.
I would have also taken them for free  Grin I'm going to give them to someone as a gift who has be=n interested in btc. I figured it would be a unique gift. I think I made a deal with MCHouston for two Antminers. If it goes through then I will no longer need more, but I will keep this thread open unitl then.

I didn't take it because I was low on power supplies at the time and it wouldn't be worth it buying a PSU just to power them up.

You would need at least 1 600-800W PSU just to power one of them.

I am not sure what you a referring to. 350W will power a unit just fine.

Most 350W PSUs only have 1 PCIe connector. You would need at least a 600W with 2.

His best bet is Craigslist if he hasn't already tried it.  Going rate is $20-$30.

I have a couple hundred S1's

PM me if you want a couple and we can talk price, it will be cheap.  I am in Houston TX. I also have the original boxes for them.

Good to know.  If GekkoScience gets the TypeZero boards going soon I'll probably hit you up for a few, I have 3 bare S1 chassis sitting around waiting for them to be released....

Yup kind of the reason I am holding on to them, but I am willing to share my stock.

I am looking to purchase one or two Antminer S1's. If you have one for sale please post below or PM me, and let me know where you are shipping from and how much you want for it. I am located in PA so that is preferable if you live near me. Thanks
