I keep saying this, the only why ill purchase one is with a group buy for the UK ... or someone else in th UK who has bough a job lot and selling for good prices.

Then I suppose you need to initiate the group buy. But still, you do not say what a good price is, but seeing GBP 150 is still steep for you, then I'll have to conclude that you are looking for a giveaway.

Buying one unit from a country outside the UK is not really an option, we need an order of 10 or more to get realistic discounts.

All S3's are from China, so I do not get that argument if (as in the ones I highlighted) the cost is palatable, and you can ROI. Seeing S3+'s are going for GBP 200 + shipping on ebay today, I struggle to think you can get a better deal (assuming it is real) than the one I posted. But hey, if you start the group-buy and it materialises, who knows?

Certainly serious mate, but I not buying for crap thats never going to ROI.

I keep saying this, the only way ill purchase one is with a group buy for the UK ... or someone else in the UK who has bought a job lot and selling for good prices.

Buying a single unit from outside the UK is not really an option, we need an order of 10 or more to get realistic discounts.

As for market research, the answer is HELL YES!!!! why would'nt anyone who is serious about buying do research first??

  Grin

Also will peeps stop PM'ing me asking to transfer Bitcoin in to some random address for a miner thats never going to show up.... come on are people that stupid!! Anyone who does will get reported to MOD...SIMPLES!

You might consider buying osmething else, then.

https://minereu.com/product/a1-btc-miner/

I never had trouble with minereu except the rusty gridseed pods from the last batches.
It seems not everybody was as lucky as I am, but for 300$, (second hand), it might worth the try.
And it isn't a sponsored or anything link.

For some reason, they are supposed to be "final ten", but I was able to add 40 to my cart  Huh
That site is DEFINITELY down.

You say getting a used S3+ for GBP 200 will never ROI, so what are you looking to pay for it?
Are you really serious you want to buy an S3 or are you doing a bit of market research?

If you are serious and want to buy, send this guy a PM https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/dannyvjp-249561
He "apparently" has 15 S3 batch 8 for sale at CAD 266 (250 + 16 shipping), which is approx GBP 150. He says he is in the Netherlands (so I am not sure why he quoted me CAD!)

The problem with ebay is....well...its ebay and people bid on there own products to get the price higher. The odd deal my get through but by the time ive waited the diff will have risen.

So the only way I can see making ROI is buying new with a group buy in the UK. I wouldnt mind setting up if I knew where to buy  Huh

No point buying old stuff thats never going to ROI..

Needs to be brand new as they run at a lower cost..... $0.21 per KW of electric here in the UK!!!

Are you interested in HEX4M miner with 4arctic coolers (worth 15£ each) for a 150£?
Its doing 400GH/s  which is pretty close to S3 plus you can resell coolers after all ( its a socket 1150)

Buying brand new with shipping and import duty is not an option to the UK it would never ROI. I've seen a few go on ebay at auction for around £150 which I've missed out on but most are on there buy it now for £200+. Again you will never ROI at those prices, not with the cost of electricity here.

When I contacted BITMAIN today about the shipping they said it was not included and they declare the full amount to shipping port.

wasn't the Bitmain price already including shipping?

And you might want to try EMS shipping if it's still available.
Most of the time, I don't have VAT/taxes using EMS
And mining something else than BTC can also improve your ROI.

me too, cant find a UK buy anywhere

next batch is now available at bitmains website, i would go for the s3+ it is more consistent, if i where you guys...
                                            ^
                                            ^^
                                          ^^^^
Someone on commission?  ^^^^^^

To behonest to have this shipped out to the UK from BITMAIN is still not worth it, great website but prices are high for us UK buyers.

The S3 based on my asumptions.

Mining Power : 453Gh
Power: 335Watts

1 Month
BTC Generated                     = $76.29 (0.20005436BTC) (current exchange rate)
Cost to power unit 244.55Kw = $52.23
Profit                                   = $24.06 (0.07BTC)

Cost of Unit = $206.79 (0.58BTC)
Import TAX 9% = $18.61
VAT 20% = $45.08
Shipping Assumed= $100 (probably more)
Total = $370.48

I rest my case....

This is why its so hard to get going the UK, unless you have large capital to invest. We need a group buy ASAP to be sorted out for the UK peeps..

commision? nope, they where talking about getting the old type, i just suggested the new s3+ which i have a few of in my collection, they are rock steady... and yes, i have reached roi on all my equipment. And im in europe, so ive paid vat & tax too...

I'm looking to buy 1 or maybe 2 Antminer S3's depending on price.

I'm in the UK so would be looking for seller in UK to keep down postage costs.

Please post here what you have and how much or send me a PM.

Escrow will be used to protect both parties.
