Like a little over a week ago, you could open an account for free. I don't really know what would be a fair price. Anyways, I bumped the price to $10. I'm open to negotiations. Please note that each invitation code only works once.

Bitfinex recently restricted the creation of new accounts to invite only due to a DDOS attack, and no one knows what has happened. And no, it is not restricted to certain countries.
