Maybe not fakes, could just be repurposed casascius coins. With a clearer picture I'm sure krog would be able to tell for sure.

It’s def a fake. If you zoom in you can tell pretty easily. Biggest tell is the lines going across the coin are way too thick, esp for a 2011 brass.

Edit: Now this is another new find where it was repurposed like the Serps- https://imgur.com/a/xu0pOnx

I got this one.. and looks like the remains of the holograms from the album you posted....  wonder how many different Cas they used?

I don’t believe they actually used Casascius blanks. Here’s the sales thread - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/new-bitscratch-game-physical-lucky-bitcoins-245613

They state in OP “You buy and receive, physical brass 1 bit-coin tokens, in the style of Casascius”.

They then state “As I said, it is token blanks of the casascius coins that they are stuck to. They are 2011 blanks with '1 bitcoin' on them- that people will be able to reuse afterwards to load with a bitcoin themselves. It is quite common for bitcoin blanks to have 1 bitcoin on them. However I can always change the style of the token, but I notice that many people on the forum are asking for 1 bitcoin token blanks.....we need to keep our product viable and appealing across all markets so this was the token of choice”.

The picture I posted is certainly a Casascius fake as well as he said “Casascius like”.

Are you sure your hologram is from the Co?

I am not.. .this was given to me by a customer/collector friend of mine from Canada.
And from your 1st pic in OP, this may not be one of the "official" BitScratch coins...  the coin in OP is clearly a duplicate/replica coin. You can tell from the heavy strike/deeper lines.  Cas brass/nickel all have light/faded lines and letters struck. The coin in OP clearly is not an official Cas coin.

Is that a real Casascius Minerjones? It surely seems like it based on that front pic. Whereas the coin in the OP pic is clearly “off”.

Interesting....What is that a fake casascius coin with a bitscratch holo?  Huh

Produced by Bitscratch.org , who I think made some sort of BTC scratch cards primarily. Def your typical Cas knock off.  Maybe an OG around here will have some more info for us on these. I do know these were released in 2013.

Doesn't the picture say 2011 though?

2011 is when Casascius released his first coins, the bronze tokens, which is what this is a knock off of.  Truly creative and innovative right.

Did someone say fake Casascius?
