They don't ship to the US because they've asked FinCEN, the US regulator, and they said BTCC need to register as a money services business before they can buy or sell bitcoin-related collectables or offer exchange services in the US. They've applied for the license and they expect to get it in a few months.

Meanwhile, those of us this side of the water can help our Murican friends Smiley (as and when we get our hands on the goods!!)

I have a 1k bits BTCC Poker Chip. The issue is that a lot of people want it, and to be fair, I cannot just choose a person to have it. I will put it up for auction later.

I could be mistaken, and IANAL, but I believe the issue is that they would also need to acquire licenses for every state they serve customers for.

For example, if you lookup Coinbase here - https://www.fincen.gov/msb-registrant-search

Under the column, STATES OF MSB ACTIVITIES, you can see the states they are legally licensed to serve customers from.

I would guess BTCC would have to do the same to be able to send USA people their products if it had any bitcoin loaded on them.

Thanks

Edit - I tried searching for BTCC in most fields, but nothing came up, so I assume they either aren't registered with FINCEN yet, or maybe it is filed under a different name(?).

I would also like to join the end of the queue to buy one of these chips. Lincoln6echo did offer to sell me one, but has ignored my reply to buy it which is kind of rude..

A little birdie tells me that you all won't need to wait much longer....

We have an end-of-year surprise coming very soon!  Smiley

Who can guess?

thanks,
Bobby

Please tell me this birdie can fly direct to the United States Wink

In any case, can't wait, thanks for the update!

You're funny... I wish that were the case.

But unfortunately, this little birdie won't be flying to the United States anytime soon.
(due to USA law and regulation.)

Sorry!

It'll be something you can buy, and not give-away or promos.

thanks,
Bobby
If you're operating an exchange in US, assuming so based on USD/btc pair you've announced recently, aren't you then in compliance of laws to be able to sell in US? At least to those who open an account?

Can't blame me for trying  Cheesy Something you can buy eh? Now that is intriguing! PLEASE let it be a whole bunch of these poker chip coins in a round spinning holder! Would be so cool to have a set of chips like that for poker games/etc.

Paging MinerJones to be the BOSS and arrange another Group Buy.

Maybe if you buy a coin on the BTCC store you get a free poker chip.
Or another bounty...

Yup, same here.  After the OP gets an offer, I would like a chance as well if anyone is selling.

(My emphasis in bold) This is very kind of you! It is very much appreciated for you to say this, considering that you have a much longer history here than myself that you rightfully earned. I will not be offended if you receive an offer before me, so please do not hesitate. Now there's nothing wrong if I am a bit jealous though  Wink I think in due course we will both get our hands on one...hopefully!

You're welcome.  No reason why collectors like me cant wait their turn.  I'm nobody special on the boards, and don't deserve special treatment.

Hoping you land one.  They do look sweet.  If they are as common as some have mentioned, you should be able to find one soon.

This is the sort of thing that is inevitable.  We can see that the serialization is in the thousands and we can surmise that the use case lends to large stashes of various denominations.  So it all comes down to the rules.   Lips sealed

I'm sorry for being dense.  Grin What do you mean "So it all comes down to the rules" Hellot?

Alright, these are awesome. I have much to learn.

I was just playing, I love star trek. I don't know the rules otherwise I might have some poker chips! Smiley

Hi! As a collector, the BTCC Poker Chip has caught my eye and I would love to have one to complement and sit beside my Satori coin. I was wondering if anyone has an extra one and would be willing to part with it! Thank you in advance!
