SCAM!SCAM!SCAM. This person wants to use escrow in order to fool you into sending him stuff. You will never receive the funds. This account has most likely been bought by a SCAMMER and is not the original owner.

All of this reads like nonsense. If you have any evidence that this user is a scammer then please create a thread in the Scam Accusation board, because this is not the place for it. I don't know why somebody would buy such a low ranked account with no trust in order to buy something with escrow. That being said, I don't know how they could be using escrow in order to scam, that is a new one to me. Could you please explain yourself?

OP, if you have already purchased a laptop and everything is done I would suggest locking this topic. There is nothing else that needs to be done here, besides that.

Uh huh.

Can you give me just one instance of how I've ever scammed anyone?  Roll Eyes
Oh. That's right. You can't. Because I don't.

I play the game right. I use escrow, to protect anyone buying from, or selling to me. How about you?  Grin

Someone got triggered here, because I accused them of being a scam, since they refused escrow. Cheesy

Don't worry, @3uno. I already found a deal on a laptop, and funnily enough, both parties got paid.
That evil escrow thing didn't steal from the seller at all.   Cheesy

My main reason for wanting a laptop as opposed to a desktop is for portability. So if I were to go for yours, I'd need more details, and probably to look up if I could find an LCD for it, and a teardown vid...

So I am definitely interested in the laptop. It sounds about my speed. A fixer upper. Wink So if you could get me those specs, or a model number, I could look into whether or not that would be something that I could do.

The sticker on the bottom is a little worn out, so I can't tell exactly which model it is from that at this point, but I have all of the information from that sticker written down somewhere. I will get back to you on exactly which model and what not it is. Worst case scenario, I will go back to find my invoice and figure out exactly which laptop it is. Either way, I have looked up replacement screens for the various models of this laptop and it seems the LCDs are readily available for about $50-$70 dollars. I've just never fixed it myself, because I've never needed the portability. If you're willing to fix it yourself, I would help you find a teardown video or something similar. If not, I could always get it fixed up before sending it (but that would make it cost more for the trouble). If you're planning on fixing it yourself it shouldn't cost you too much and these laptops aren't difficult to teardown from what I've read.

I will find out tonight the remainder of the specs/model information and get back to you ASAP. I'm not looking for anything close to retail, so I'm sure we can come to an agreement; as long as the offer is fair I will take it.

@jrc209, thanks for the site link. If I find a laptop on there that I want, I'll be sure to message you. I am in the US, (probably should have mentioned that up top), so shipping and whatnot shouldn't be a big deal.
Do you guys get new stock often?

You can message me as we have many laptops avail send me a pm on specs and brand you are looking for lets see what I have in stock ok?

My regular laptop broke, and I am currently operating off of a chromebook. The situation is tolerable, but I need something with more power.

I'm looking for (preferably), a quad core i7, with 8 gigs of ram. Or thereabouts. I'd consider lesser setups, too.

Not really looking for a Macbook, so if you are looking to sell one, it would have to be for a really good price.

We will use a reputable escrow, on forum.

I'll be able to pay in BTC or Doge.

If nobody is interested, that's fine too, as I'll just find something new. But I figured I might as well give this a shot.
On the off chance that people are actually interested, feel free to either post details of your rig, (and price), or PM me.

Questions, or comments, feel free to ask.
Are you in the USA ?  I have a laptop store in houston texas. I have no issue using escrow , you can check our models at houstonelectronicspro.com

I've got a powerful laptop that I would be willing to part ways with. First things first though, the screen doesn't work, so that would either need to be replaced or you use it with a monitor. I think replacement would be relatively cheap, but I've just been dealing with it as is. I wanted to get the bad out of the way, because I'm wondering if this is something you would be willing to negotiate for?

The specs are pretty good, I would have to double-check and will do so if you are interested. It means your criteria though, it is an MSI Apache laptop. I'm very flexible on the price, paid about $1,500 for it new about 2-years ago. It's a gaming laptop that has served me well, but now I mostly just use my desktop and have no need for it. Escrow would be a must, just to make sure everyone is satisfied and secure.
