You guys, The response to this has been overwhelmingly positive! I've been getting messages left and right all of witch have been really really helpful for a new guy navigating this section, Sadly I cant buy all of your awesome coins! I got pulled into mysterybox proposals and am going to give that a shot. I will keep everyone up to date on my collecting endeavors!
Some things that have caught my eye
Minerjones Silver, Silver, and Silver.. 2016 Pandas, 2016 Microsoul, & CI HODL-all of those but lot 2 and 3 more so.

I'm in the same boat. The odd time I consider trying for something more valuable but generally buy a miner first. 
I would say an interesting piece would be the Crypto Cosmos decks for a nice piece at a reasonable cost. The added bonus is you can play the game as well.
Recently stepped up my game a little with some bitcoin penny purchases can't wait to see them. Every time I say I'm done for a bit i see something shiny lol

Glad to see ya joining the madness! It's addicting, but a lot of fun. I can certainly vouch for MinerJones, Wheelz, OG, & Hox ...have bought many items from each of them and they're great resources for nice affordable items.
