This is going to be my last bump on this thread
wow nobody checked this thread ? it would have been more easier to catch him ?
i am bumping it now  to know how many donator/Vip accounts does he has ?
Huh What? Pretty much every VIP account was compromised after the forum hack....or at least a sufficient number of them were compromised to make it a bad idea to continue to attempt to purchase one because it would simply be a waste of time to attempt to do so

Bump. I am willing to pay a premium for VIP/donator accounts.
Are you willing to pay the amount of BTC they donated back? If not, I wouldn't bother asking.
Obviously not, if I was doing that then I would just donate myself. The value of bitcoin was much lower when the majority of people donated to the forum then it is now. Plus any VIP's/Donators do not have the option to have their donation refunded

Out of curiosity, what would something like my account be worth? Legendary, high activity/post count, in the default trust list. Not that I plan to sell, but at least then I can give my wife a value for the time I spend here. Tongue
That is hard to say for sure. The market for those accounts are certainly smaller then lower level accounts. I have one listed for sale for I believe 3.5 BTC but it has been on the market for a while now. I have gotten a few low ball offers and one offer for as much as 2.5 BTC but he ended up lowering his offer (which I find to be negotiating in bad faith) and the deal fell through. I would say it would probably be somewhere between 2.5 and 3.5 BTC.

The real value is from signature campaigns as you could earn actual income from your account by having an advertisement in your signature. The lowest you would potentially earn is usually .1 BTC per month for 50 posts, and the higher paying campaigns can pay .0013 BTC per post, sometimes with a limit of a few hundred posts per month.

I am not sure how to measure how many accounts are active however the number of posts per month have decreased a lot since this summer.

Interesting, though expected I guess with low Bitcoin prices + lack of signature campaigns (particularly pay-per-post ones).

I tried looking through memberlist but it doesn't list by activity. It makes it difficult to see exactly how many are close to being upgraded to Sr./Hero.
I agree that the decreased number of overall posts is likely related to the lack of pay per post signature campaigns. I think the number of posts peaked the month before PD limited the max number of posts they would pay.

You could probably post in meta requesting a breakdown of how many users have how much activity if you are interested and theymos night reply.

Thanks for the info. It's probably a good idea to take advantage of the market and low prices right now as I'm sure it's only a matter of time before more campaigns start popping up. I know of two or three potential ones that are looking at starting or re-starting but they could fall through.

You've to keep in mind that there are new Sr. and Hero ranks being awarded every two weeks. That means an abundance of sellers, and also a lowering in signature campaign rates (demand/supply).
You also need to take into consideration the fact that as time goes on accounts will get banned, people will forget their passwords, will attempt scams and receive negative trust, will simply lose interest in participating in the forum (and forget about their accounts). So there will be some level of reduction in the supply of senior accounts, this may or may not be enough to counter the fact that more full members are receiving promotions.

EDIT: It looks like there are ~8,760 full members, 4,840 senior members, 1,440 hero, 320 legendary members and ~506,000 member or lower rank (all rounded up to the nearest 40). I haven't previously checked these numbers however it appears that the vast majority of the supply of accounts is at the member level or lower.

You should also remember that not everyone is interested in participating in signature campaigns as some are here for a number of other reasons.

Interest is increasing, there are more active members now (I am guessing). As such it stands to reason there will be more accounts on the market.

Who is offering .01 for a full member account?
I thought you were?

Bump. I have only gotten a few responses so far. I may be willing to offer more BTC for older accounts.

I am also interested in Member accounts and can pay .01 BTC per account.

Both member and newbie accounts must have never posted a BTC address and have neutral or positive trust.
Oops. That was actually old infirmation and I'm not actually buying member accounts anymore. I have deleted the post (thanks for bringing that to my attention).

But that was for member accounts not full member and as I mentioned above there are substantially more member accounts then there are full members.

EDIT: I am only buying donator/vip accounts right now (really only need one but maybe two). The prices for accounts right now are generally low due to lack of signature deals buy legendary accounts probably can fetch a good amount.

Yeah, but unless the price is astronomically higher for a legendary account it would hardly seem worth it. The guy is offering 0.01BTC for a Full Member account. If that's actually your real account and you're not farming it, how much of a difference can getting that four bucks to buy a Pumpkin Spice Latte make?

I can assure you a Legendary account will get you more than a Pumpkin Spice Latte. I've seen Hero member accounts go for a couple of btc in the past.

True, but the account farmers and people eager to capitalise with signature campaigns will probably outstrip bans and abandonned accounts.

I can't imagine why anyone would want to sell a legendary account, even if they are not using it anymore. Signature campaigns would hardly justify it, and I'd imagine it would drive most people crazy to have their years established online identity used to spam posts for sub-penny amounts. That would leave more nefarious uses of the account, and most people wouldn't want anything unsavory that the new account owner did following them around.

Same reason as always: money. Sometimes people don't want to sell their prized possession but they have or just want to.

Bump.

As of now I am primarily looking for hero and legendary accounts.

As an FYI to potential sellers, accounts that are not enrolled in a signature campaign will obviously be worth less then accounts that are enrolled in a signature campaign.

How much you think legendary accounts are worth?
That depends on the account. Do you have one for sale?

Nope :/
I'am just curious how much highest lvl accounts at this forum costs.
For legendary it is really hard to say for sure. There are very few of them and there are likely few people willing to sell them.

If they need money then they may need to resort to selling it. This seems to have been the primary reason why people first started selling their accounts, then it appears that people started to make somewhat of a business out of trading accounts.

You could potentially sell your signature space at above market rates if the account is a respected member who has tended to (and continues to) post very high quality posts. You could also use it to add a level of legitimacy to an on-forum business with the owner acting honestly but would otherwise be unable to succeed due to a lack of trust (for example selling gift cards, or some other activity that would require some amount of trust even when escrow is used).

Out of interest, have you sold many accounts recently? If so, what are roughly the accounts going for? I guess with the lack of campaigns they must've lost quite a bit of value.
Account sales have been very slow recently. I have sold maybe between 10 and 20 over the last two weeks but only to a few repeat customers and at large discounts that I would not normally give; I only gave the discounts because they were buying accounts at once.

Recent prices:
  • Potential member account but needing ~10 posts to get member status - .03 - .04 range
  • Actual member accounts - .07 - .08 range
  • Full member accounts - .12 - .13 range
  • Haven't been able to sell any senior or hero accounts recently :/

I also sold them that low because most of my inventory is unproductive right now and posting is so slow that it is difficult to make non-spam posts with my lower level accounts so they can have enough posts to even potentially participate in a signature campaign.

I do believe that we will see higher paying signature campaigns in the future and account values will rebound. I have spent ~2.5 buying up senior and full member accounts at prices that would be considered a steal 5 months ago. The current environment is probably actually good for me because sellers will abandon their accounts by either forgetting their password(s), simply not checking back here to see that prices have increased so supply will hopefully decrease or increase less then it otherwise would. Also a lot of farmers are getting banned for spamming and BadBear seems to be getting better at weeding out spammers who spam across multiple accounts.

Can anyone tell me the time to become members and full members.
You need to have 60 activity to become a member and 120 activity to become a full member. You can get a max of 14 activity for every two weeks that you post. It will take 5, two week periods to become a member and 9 two week periods to become a full member.

TL;DR it will take a little over 2 months to be a member and ~4.5 months to be a full member.

0.01 BTC ( 5 usd ) for an account that earns 0.05 per MONTH for only 50 posts?

Are you on drugs?
There are few campaigns open now. If you feel that my offer is underpriced then you are not forced to sell.

I still don't get why there is al buying/selling accounts going on here. May someone please enlighten me?

0.01BTC is way too low!
Minimum 60 post is required to become member.
So that means your paying only 0.00016666666BTC per post.
Any sig campaign pays a lot more...

Yes, like 0.01 BTC for Member account is a joke..

ONLY 0.01 for a member account... thats many hours of work for $5...
I wouldn't look at it so much as working for the BTC but rather people do not have a use for the account anymore and can make a little BTC off of it.

Still buying accounts. I will consider higher level accounts.

EDIT: this is a 24 hour bump Wink

higher level accounts are useless now I think you should be selling them half off
duly noted. Thank you.

Yes, activity ticks which changes your status are in interval of: 60,120,240 and 480. This is when your rank will be higher and you will be promoted.

Dude you want to buy Member accounts for 0.01 BTC? Member accounts are worth 0.05 - 0.06 BTC.
Please see my other response to this exact same comment:

Member account @0.01 BTC, are you must be kidding.
Other seller selling here 0.04-0.06.

You are really giving very low price for member account.
This is the asking price, and most sellers are asking on the lower end of this. Most accounts will likely sell for less then this.

Do you have a member account that you can sell? I can work with you on price.

whats the register date u req ?

0.003 is pretty low
PM sent

I'm obviously a newbie. How much is the escrow fee? Is .003 a fair compensation for what I'd make for the signature campaigns later on?
PM sent

by the way i have some newbie accounts registered in 2012 2013 which can be easily get to member in a day.. for 60 posts.

i m selling each of them @0.015
PM sent but .015 would be too high

doing all the escrow stuff is more time-consuming than create accounts.

Unless he wants no IP evidence linking him with each account
I am not 100% sure on this but I think the forum logs the IP address of accounts when you login, but I may be wrong on this (please don't quote me as I am not 100% sure).

I'll get back to you soon. My account says I've exceeded my PM limit for one hour. I will go AFK to exercise for a bit and then come back and hopefully get back to business.

as you wish my last price you know so shoot me a pm when you wnat
I just sent you a PM. If I have to wait an hour to get a response that is fine as I understand there are PM limits for accounts.

Lets try this again. I tried buying newbie accounts a few weeks ago with some mixed results. I was able to buy a few high quality accounts, and received offers for some lower quality accounts.

I am interested in purchasing newbie accounts.

Account must have at least 16 posts. If the account does not have 16 posts you can post additional posts before you sell it to me.

The account must have never posted a BTC address.

Can offer .003 BTC per account.

Escrow is a must.

Why you need newbie account, if you can make yourself.

I am interested in purchasing a Donator/VIP account

I can pay "top bitcoin" for your Donator/VIP account account.

I would still be interested in your account has negative trust, although my offer would be reduced if it has such negative trust (only applies for Donator/VIP accounts)

Escrow is a must (unless you trust me enough to send me your account first).
