Sorry to hear that. Didnt realize California had its own rules about them.
California is the only state that doesn't sell glofish because they are genetically modified and the manufacturers do not want to pay for an environmental effects study so they are banned.

If you live in California, you should be able to pick them up at your local pet store (i.e. Petsmart, Petco, Pet SuperMarket, etc). I live in the U.S. and have a few glofish that I bought locally.
