besides if you wanted to deal with me tldr has already checked me out you know my address. bitcoin otc had blocked my IP so you know they know what it is. You could look and see if the payment came from the same IP that is blocked?

More than one way to skin a cat, if it was worth it to you like it is to me you find ways to take PP safely.

"A stolen CC negates all 'anti chargeback' points - the CC company WILL claw back every cent from PayPal, and thus ripping the seller off in the process."

You can set it up to only take payments that are not funded with CC on PP too.

I know that no one believes this, but i can not charge back. I send as a gift from my home IP. That transaction is not reversible!

Nonsense.  Gift can and have been reversed trivially easy.  Claiming otherwise makes you less not more trustworthy.  Either you are horribly uninformed or you are willing to lie to potential customers to secure a deal.  Either way a warning sign.

How are we going to know if the transaction was sent using your home IP?
I am not saying that you're going to reverse any transactions at all, indeed, a quite huge part of the community still uses paypal to trade Bitcoin. However, please do not give a false impression to other users that PayPal is safe. It is trivial to reverse a transaction even if Paypal refuses to do so - a call to the CC company will work wonders too. A stolen CC negates all 'anti chargeback' points - the CC company WILL claw back every cent from PayPal, and thus ripping the seller off in the process.

I stand by D&T in this argument.

No I understand John PP can be very sketch, but not mine is the point.

How are we going to know if the transaction was sent using your home IP?

When I sell coin through ebay I can just call ebay and they will tell me, not sure if they will do that for anyone but they do it for me.
Sales outside of ebay I dont know how you could find out, you guys are smarter than me when it comes to the tech stuff, maybe you could tell me.
The way that I check is sell to people on FB that gives me there location sometimes their exact location if they have linked their phone, then I have them send me an email then i run the IP address through and analyzer. Sometime it can get really close in and tell me what street and everything sometime is only gives a region

That is why I said that I know no one believes this but I can not charge back.

You think i didnt say that I didnt make the transaction? They dont care. if it came from your house it doesnt matter who sends it. They can tell if your computer was hacked or not. If you are so sure big boy than show me. Like you said I must not be the sharpest tool in the shed, so since I am so simple I am going to need to be shown.

I value my PayPal account and given that my name is on our corporate account which did over $700,000 in payouts it really isn't something I am willing to risk.  A scammer however wouldn't care.

I can see why you are widely ignored.  It is now your claim that PayPal can know when a computer is hacked?  What they install their own backdoor rootkits on all user's computers?

A waste of time.

To anyone reading I stand by my point.  Anyone claiming that gifts can't be reversed is either incompetent (which means it is only a matter of time before their account is frozen) or a scammer.  A risk either way.

Of course you can, just claim you didn't make the transaction.  "PayPal I have absolutely no idea who made this gift transaction to xyz.  It certainly wasn't me.  Someone must have hacked my computer".

PayPal reverses transactions not made by the user.  If you claim it wasn't made by you then the transaction will be reversed.  Period.

If someone ACTUALLY DID hacked into your home computer, while you were on vacation, and made a gift from your account to theirs every day for the thousands or tens of thousands available from linked bank accounts and CC do you honestly think PayPal would just say "sorry dude gifts are irreversible".

Now if you claim "I legitimately made this gift but I wan't to reverse it" then PayPal will deny the claim however someone pulling a scam isn't going to make that mistake.

Keep claiming a falsehood if you want but it undermines your credibility.  Anyone who claims a gift can't be reversed shouldn't be trusted.  Either they are incompetent or they are a scammer.

We can always bust this myth if you like death and taxes. Send me a gift from your home and then try and get it refunded. If you do and can tell me how you did it i will give you 1 BTC. Ask velacreations he was scammed the other day, see if he was able to get refunded. If you send a gift from your home it is not protected and will not be refunded.

I didnt say that it couldnt be charged back I said I cant charge it back. I gave PP 6k in fees last year and had a guy named steve harding, user name bogbrush fuck me for 10 coins. I sent as a gift and no matter what I said or did they wouldn't refund me. So you might be right that it can be reversed, but I CAN NOT REVERSE IT!!

Me offer always stands.  Smiley

I am going to Raleigh NC this weekend and am going to get my dad to use his data center to start mining LTC, I have access to netapp's test bed in the RTP too maybe I can get those guys going too. I have a couple miners who sell to me now and hoping to get more, but if you guys wont sell them to me I will have to use btc-e or other methods.

and what kind of reputation I have.

Are you on the #bitcoin-otc Web of Trust (WoT)?

Well yes and no. One of the CO's stole my user name and banned me. Complete bullshit. His user name is rbecker he registered my name and keep booting me from the channel then when I said I was going to take him to btc court for identity theft and slander (He also left negative feedback without ever trading with me) he banned me. That said yes I do have some feedback on otc from users that I have traded with they all left positive feedback. The main person that I have dealt with in the past was user BCB. I have traded a few thousand with him.

I always have PPusd for LTC or BTC at spot price!

I wanna start selling LTC and am sick of waiting for liqpay and btc-e.

I know PP is the devil around here, but that is what I use and like.
You can check out my ebay store here is a link. I have 1306 feedback and over 2300 transactions with near perfect feedback. You can also see reviews from my customers in my facebook store bitcoin friends. here is a link  https://www.facebook.com/bitcoinfriends and a couple reviews on my new page litecoin friends. here is a link https://www.facebook.com/pages/Litecoin-Friends/337276969722407?fref=ts I have also uploaded a picture of my ID under photos on bitcoin friends page.
If that is not enough give me a call we can talk about it.
I will give spot price! it is negotiable but not a lot of wiggle room there.
You will have to send first!
I know that no one believes this, but i can not charge back. I send as a gift from my home IP. That transaction is not reversible!

So you know who I am, what my business is, where i live, my phone number, and what kind of reputation I have. So sell me some LTC! or BTC!
Thanks and if you have question just ask!
