I continue to need this about once a month so will update here the next time I'm looking for more rupees.

Back for more ..

I'm looking to add 3,000 Rs again (1-Jun-2014).

How this works is,
1.) You and I agree on the rate (in BTC) for your 3,000 Rs.  [e.g., ~0.08 BTC if using today's BTC/USD of $648 on BitStamp]
2.) I provide to you my e-mail address.
3.) You buy a 3,000 Rs gift e-card from Milaap, paying with your Netbanking or with an Indian credit card.  Entering my e-mail as the gift recipient.

 - http://milaap.org/do-more-gift-card  <-- PM me for my Milaap "lender name and e-mail".

4.) You send to me your Bitcoin address for my payment
5.) I receive the e-mail, redeem the gift e-card, and send to you the bitcoins.

PM me if interested

I'm looking to add 3,000 Rs again.

I forgot to update this earlier -- I have completed this transaction successfully.

Will probably be looking to do this about once a month so will update here the next time I'm looking for more rupees.

I would like to add funds (rupees / INR) to my account at Milaap, which is like a Kiva in India (though these are all no-interest loans).

I've completed all the gift cards that I wanted to personally buy myself, so if we've not started discussions on this trade, I'm all done for now.

The process of buying the Milaap gift card is now automated and I could tell it was processed quickly for the buyer since I received the Milaap gift card just minutes after I had sent the bitcoins to the party who was going to buy it.

Incidentally, I've previously lent (and re-lent) several times with Milaap.  These are no-interest loans to those in rural India with specific needs.  I'm not sure what Milaap does but they report 100% repayment.    I can eventually withdraw the funds after repayment, or I can re-lend them -- which is what I plan to do.

But this is one way anyone in the world can park some value from bitcoin (XBTs) into INRs.  Then after repayment some months down the road the funds can be withdrawn (as either as INRs or as USDs).

So if anyone else wants to do the same thing as what I just did, feel free to post your inquiry here.     Or if anyone wishes to offer to provide this exchange (i.e., to buy a card with their INRs), place your offer here (e.g., selling at what rate).   For example "Up to N,000 Rs at the Coinbase BUY price converted to INR as reported here:  coinsecure.in " ).

Hello,

I would like to add funds to my account at Milaap, which is like a Kiva in India.

I can add funds by redeeming a gift certificate.

The gift certificate can be purchased by anybody, using INR either through Indian credit card or through Netbanking:
 - http://milaap.org/do-more-gift-card  <-- PM me for my Milaap "lender name and e-mail".

I'm looking for ~3,000Rs gift certificate.

Is anyone looking to convert their debit card (INR), credit card (INR) or NetTransfer (INR) for Bitcoins?   If so, PM me please.

Milaap is out of Bangalore now:

Milaap
No : 549, 26th main, 14th cross, JP nagar Phase 1,
Bangalore, India 560078

[Edit: I've done this type of transaction before, though at the time there was a different process for you to buy the gift card.
I would like to add funds to my account at Milap.

I would like to add funds (rupees / INR) to my account at Milaap, which is like a Kiva in India (though these are all no-interest loans).

I can add these INR funds by redeeming a gift certificate denominated in rupees.  You can get bitcoins by using your rupees to buy a gift card which you would do as part of the sale of the gift card to me in exchange for bitcoins.

The gift certificate can be purchased by anybody, using INR either through Indian credit card or through Netbanking:
