When I managed to compiled the source and run the client the moment it went out, it was at block somewhere between 500 and 600 ... so he perhaps solo-premined "only" 1 billion coins ... and perhaps large portion of the second billion, though at that time other people started to hop in and mining into their pockets, though there were still many pool malfunctions even after that, so I'd guess he has quite a large part from the second billion too ....
