a new unopened nes front loader goes between 150-300 and a toploader goes between 350-500 unopened

i buy sell and trade games

been thinking about making a list of games and systems i have to sell via bitcoin not sure if i am going to yet

i have alot of inventory right now

Wait, you're saying the front-loading system is worth LESS than the top, despite front-loaders being more rare, older, etc.? This baffles me.

Then again, the new Classics that came out are finding BUYERS at 600-700+ now, which is ridiculous.

Most of the NES Classic Editions seem to go for around ~300CAD from what I've seen on eBay. I'm not sure in the US how much they go for though, and there are different versions with different games around the world. I kept seeing a UK version.

Dude, what are you waiting for?  Create your own thread and post the link here (since you already mentioned it).  People will definitely be interested; I already am. I also have a ton of games (digital and physical) that I want to sell if you are interested.  PM me or link a thread here!!!

I'm going to my local EB Games everyday when they open until I get one. I was calling every day but I figure if they get one I'll be too late by the time I get there. Apparently since Nov 11th they've had 'about three' NES classics come in. Nintendo is really jerking us around guys!

Quote from: Nintendo Executives
You guys wanna hear something funny? Let's send one NES Classic Edition a week to each store. That'll be hilarious. Then on December 20th when they didn't get one they can buy one off of eBay for $300. Har har har I love my job. Screw the little people. I'm such a big mighty - HOLY CRAP A CHARIZARD!! MOVE THE DESK I HAVE TO GET TO IT!!(pokemon go reference folks)

Apparently Walmart had some online but I didn't know about it until hours after they sold out. None in store.

Apparently urban outfitters should be getting some online only this morning. I checked at midnight and there was nothing, checked at 7:30am to now and still nothing. I don't know for sure if it will be available to ship to Canada but definitely the USA.

http://time.com/money/4591679/nintendo-nes-classic-edition/

I asked my local EB games if they were getting anymore and they confirmed that they would be shipped some at some point blah blah blah still don't have any. Lol so that's a dead end (for now).

Update: They only posted the link on Twitter. People are raging. I didn't get one lol.

Ugh!!! Apparently bestbuy had some last night at 7pm and they didn't sell out for about 10 minutes. I'm going to be following their twitter and there's a forum my wife said that someone is posting on to give updates a few hours before they'll add some more online. I'll post them later when I have the links.

Hey, if you don't mind, can you PM me if you happen to find some?      Literally zero stores in my area have had any in stock whatsoever.   I'm about to give up.

I'll post here if I hear anything. I know lots of people in this thread have expressed interest. The launch was easy. When the store opens they'll have some, but ever since then it's so random it's impossible to find them!

Edit: EB Games is going to get some 'soon' but there are no guaranteed quantities to each store and they don't know exactly what day they'll be in.

Ive got a local store who is selling systems and games. They even have a NES all original still in box never opened but I think they are asking like $300 for it.

The games are included. Are you just talking about the original NES from the 80s? It's this that I'm looking for: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01IFJBQ1E/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1480382103&sr=8-1&pi=SX200_QL40&keywords=nes+classic+edition&dpPl=1&dpID=41oRZQzJoDL&ref=plSrch

Nice website but by the time these are in stock they are gone.  Got 1 on release day luckily, but i still need to get another one for christmas.  Good luck to you on your search i cant find one anywhere

If I find a physical location that's selling them I'll bring a few people and hopefully buy a few to help out other people. Too many scalpers are trying to make a quick buck online and Nintendo is releasing them so slowly omg! You're so lucky you got one release day! I hate how close I was! Lol.

Ugh still no luck on my end. I had some bad intel and ended up staying up until midnight a few nights back. After the initial release they're released so sporadically that it's hard to figure out what stores will have stock when. It also seems that there's no point in trying online because they're sold out within a few seconds/minutes. Ugh. I really wish we got there 10 minutes earlier haha. What a waste of time!

Ya the problem with that is you're too late if you somehow are refreshing at the right time and it's in stock with that website.

Man, Chris!, I really want one--I'm an old school gamer, and I don't have any console currently.  I really want to play those 30 games that I haven't played in years.

Snap  Grin

My computer education went...

Atari 2600 / C64 / Nintendo NES / SNES / Amiga 500 / PC

Not available in UK either at this time - Nothing is going to stop me getting one before Xmas though.

Same here. There's got to be a way to get them! I keep missing when bestbuy gets them (or anywhere else). I have to go to a physical store or I'm not going to get one I've come to realize. Anyone else have any luck yet!?

I was either at best buy or target earlier and they had some, nobody around me seemed interested and I wasn't there to buy it I am sure after reading this thread they are sold out by now.

Gah! What!? Nooooo! I was just waiting up to see if they were going to get more stock at midnight for the online sales. The answer is no lol. They are not. If you see them again BUY IT!:) (please and thanks). If someone wants me to put money in escrow just tell me and I'll do it.

Alright Ill go back to target and bestbuy to see, if I find one I am going to buy it, if no one here wants it I guess Ill return it.

edit: I went to target first and they had a sign on the window saying they were sold out and didnt know when they would get more in stock. didnt bother going to bestbuy after seeing that. guess the time to buy something is when you see it.

Haha very true. Thanks for heading back though. If you see them just buy one and ask questions later Smiley hahaha. As long as it's a Nintendo NES Classic Edition I want it!

Anyone here anything? I heard toys r us had some for about 5 minutes and EB games got a few more but I found out too late for both.
No and I've given up the quest for now.  I will wait until Nintendo comes to its senses and starts mass producing them like they should have done from the get go.  I don't need to buy them for gifts or anything.

Have you checked Nintendo's website?  They may post updates.

Have you tried doing nationwide searches on craigslist?

I forget some of the sites but you can find them on Google

I tried Kijiji. It seems to be bigger in Canada. I don't know anyone that uses Craig's list to be honest. I think it's an American thing (maybe I'm wrong?). I'm just sort of sitting tight to see if any local stores or online places get them back in stock. Only if I'm desperate will I end up paying maybe $120 CAD. I couldn't justify throwing away more money than that. It's just kind of a nostalgic gag gift.

Try the "offer-up" app for your mobile phone.  There's people selling them in my area for $99.

I've never heard of that app. All I can find is guides on google play on how to buy/sell. Is it only for ios or something? I'll have to check out other areas. Ebay is only for the people that don't want to look around I guess. Well that and the people trying to make a quick buck.

Man, Chris!, I really want one--I'm an old school gamer, and I don't have any console currently.  I really want to play those 30 games that I haven't played in years.  I think $60 is a freaking steal for the system, and I'm not surprised in the least that they sold out.  They just planned this thing poorly.

I'll probably end up buying a used NES and have to blow on the goddamn cartridges.  The 1980s all over again.  Tongue

I won't poop on your thread no more.

There are tons of the original NES on eBay. I was really surprised. The games are really expensive though so this NES Classic edition would really be the best bang for your buck.

Jesus christ whatever you do don't stick a Kleenex or a q-tip in one of those cartridges or your dad will have a fit Wink.

Total forgot about the NES release until yesterday.  Saw someone trying to flip it at $400... Any idea when they are going to be back in stock?

I haven't heard anything else at this point. I'll keep this thread up to date if I hear anything else.

Here are the places I tried that did have them but we're sold out:

EB Games
Amazon (for about 2.2 seconds)
Walmart
The source (online only apparently. Maybe my local store just didn't get any)

So those are the places I would call to ask if / when they are getting more stock.

Yeah, I read on the Amazon site that they plan on restocking within weeks.  As to how many weeks, that's anyone's guess.  I've played those games to death as a kid, so there's no rush for me to get one of those systems, but they just did a poor job of estimating demand.  I'm patient.

Re: NES.  Those pins that connected the game cartridge to the system used to get corroded and dusty and whatnot.  Am I the only old fart around here who remembers this?

You could hit a pawn shop for the real old ones.

But if you can wait a month, these will be mass produced for Christmas now that they realize the demand.

There are tons of the original NES on eBay. I was really surprised. The games are really expensive though so this NES Classic edition would really be the best bang for your buck.

Jesus christ whatever you do don't stick a Kleenex or a q-tip in one of those cartridges or your dad will have a fit Wink.

Man, Chris!, I really want one--I'm an old school gamer, and I don't have any console currently.  I really want to play those 30 games that I haven't played in years.  I think $60 is a freaking steal for the system, and I'm not surprised in the least that they sold out.  They just planned this thing poorly.

Try the "offer-up" app for your mobile phone.  There's people selling them in my area for $99.

Dude, I'm pissed about this as well.  Amazon was supposed to be selling them come 5pm yesterday, and they were sold out before I or my coworker here could get one.  It's unbelievable--and they didn't do a presale!

Good luck getting one.  People are selling them on Ebay for like $250.  There's no way in hell I'm paying that.  Gonna wait.
$250? Pfff! The cheapest one I saw locally was $370 USD ($500 CAD).

@Chris!, If I find a store that has one in stock locally I'll pick it up and send you a PM. However, with the lack of consoles in stock I'm thinking you'll probably find one on your own before I'm able to find one.  Wink

Haha if I find two I'll gladly sell the other to someone else! Thanks!

Haha same here. Just nope. I'd do $100CAD just to know I have one for sure but nah $250US is so beyond what I would pay for this. You can literally do everything on an emulator or on a wii but it doesn't look like a NES or have the controller. The person I'm buying it for would be pissed if they found out I spent like $300 on this haha. "Why didn't you just buy a new PS4!?".

Amazon sold out instantly. That was bs lol. I'm so annoyed I didn't get to EB games like 5 or 10 minutes earlier. Wish I knew someone out west that didn't sleep in and could have gone to a local Walmart or something haha. So many stores didn't even get their orders in. Nintendo is really holding back their stock to create hype I guess.

Nintendo having supply problems .. again  Roll Eyes
If anyone has a place to buy let me know.

Lol get your own thread!

Apparently they'll be intermittently sending out new consoles throughout the next few months. If I get to the store earlier I'm sure I'll get one. Its not even more me it's a gag gift for Christmas so worst case scenario they get it for their birthday or something haha.
