There is a HUGE price premium between 750 and 900 Watts.  I have been looking for a good deal for 3 years.
I agree - I think the PSUs above 750W are targeted towards enthusiasts (much like the upper echelon video cards, CPUs, etc) so they set the price substantially higher.  400-500W PSUs are a dime a dozen but if you get up into the higher wattages the price per watt increases significantly.

ssateneth - thanks for the PM.  Reply sent.

I think I still have a PC Power & Cooling Silencer Mk II 950W 80PLUS SILVER that is still gathering dust on the original box, if you are still interested in purchasing. Not modular, but 6 PCI-E 6+2 pin plugs, 2x EPS 8 pin (cpu power), and a buttload of SATA and Molex connectors. I need to know where you live, and if you want to receive the original box or not (for smaller shipping cost maybe) so I can get you shipping options.

It has a 7 year warranty and I can include a copy of my newegg invoice for warranty purposes. It was purchased in July 2011, so it still has more than 4 years of warranty left on it. One of the PCI-Es plugs are ... slightly melted, but still functional, due to jimmy-rigging some power onto my ASICMiner Blades at one point. It will still plug into a PCI-E receptacle for a video card and power it. If it bugs you though, I'm sure you could either repair it yourself, or try to get a warranty replacement on the whole thing.

I can probably let it got for $120 + actual shipping cost, rounded to the nearest dollar. Bitcoin accepted @ + shipping, or Paypal (verified address only) accepted, provided you pay the fee, or whatever hard cash methods you can think of.

Huh?

I used to buy the PC Power and Cooling 910W Silencer supplies for $80 or less all the time in the past couple years.

Too bad they aren't around really anymore, solid supplies...

I was looking at the 1000W LEPA on Newegg just last week.  A couple months ago was buying 1300W Rosewills for $160 but with altcoins exploding large PSUs have indeed been rare the past few months...

Hey folks,

In my never ending quest for upgrading my rig, I have finally pushed my poor Corsair TX750 to the brink.  I am looking for a PSU with at least 4 PCI-E 6 pin connections, good current on the 12V rails and at least 900 watts.  Something above 80+Bronze would be nice but not a deal breaker.  If you got an old PSU from a rig that you're not using and want to move it on to another cryptocoin enthusiast, fire me a message or reply here about what you have and what you want for it.

I'm in Canada, so please be willing to ship there (and not so far that it's prohibitively expensive).

Thanks! Smiley
