Noob question here.  What does "graded" mean for coins?  I have a couple of redeemed 2013 1BTC coins (sorry if considered off-topic) that I would consider selling but not sure if they are "graded" or not.
If yours its redeemed, you cant get it graded, sorry.

I have seen redeemed large value Casascius coins graded by Anacs.  Obviously, you would not really want to spend the money to get a common redeemed coin graded, but maybe a rare one would interested someone who wanted the historic memento without the high cost of a 25BTC funded coin.

I believe there is a redeemed 25BTC coin on ebay at the moment.  I will see if I can find the link.

EDIT - Here is the Coin in the holder:

You can mail your coin to ANACS with a form and for about $50 they authenticate and give your coin a grade, usually from MS-63 to MS-68.

The higher the grade the higher the value, higher grades are rare because they are the best condition. Usually graded coins can sell for 2x or 10x the price.

If yours its redeemed, you cant get it graded, sorry.

This is an example:

There are quite a few people selling these already. Most looking for the 0.7-0.75BTC mark.
If there were others at a lower price if be interested too Smiley

If there are any at those prices I would be interested.  Wink

I was referring to the non-graded ones.
Haven't seen a graded one either but I guess you could always buy one and get it graded if you really want one  Grin
