Hi all, I am looking for a "solar watt meter" There are a lot of products on the market to measure exactly how much sunlight an area gets, but what i want is a single cell solar test kit in which i can set a single unit containing 1 6"x6" solar cell outside hook it to some sort of electric monitor and at the end of the day, go grab the device and see exactly how many watt hours that single sell produced in the day.

This is not an item you can buy off the shelf, at least not that I have found yet, and I am not the best with electronics so I would not know where to start when it comes to building one.

I know that in this community there are a ton of electronics guru's and someone is going to read this and be like "hey, I can make that, and its not that hard" If that's you then post below and let me know. I can provide the solar sell. You provide me with the cost for you to make this for me, i put that money in escrow with one of the trusted escrows, send you the cell, you build it and ship it to me, i test to make sure it works, and the escrow sends you your money. Its that simple.

Now accepting quotes.

Edit: After reading the post i realized i should probably explain a little more so when the right person reads this, they have all the info they need.

There is a lot of rough calculation to determining how much direct sunlight a particular spot on the ground gets in a given day. That works for gardens, home design etc. what i need is an almost exact calculation which is why i need this device.

If i use a 6x6 .5V 4.04 watt solar panel, hook it to a meter put it outside the night before, let it sit all day and when the sun is 100% down go grab the meter it will tell me exactly how many watts it produced in the day, i can then take that number divide it by the 4.04 watts or more so watt hours that the cell outputs and know exactly how much sun it got that day.

Thanks for reading
