Right now i am interested in picking up one unit, either one S7 or one A6, depending on batch/price etc. Feel free to PM me an offer @anyone.

Is there no one selling any S7 or A6, around market price, that is located in Canada?

I might be willing to pay a small extra for a high chip count S7 version/high efficiency version.

Time to revive my main buy thread;

I'm interested in buying;
Willing to pay the "ship now" Bitmain's GH/$

-Antminer S7
-Antminer S7 Coupon

-Avalon6

-High end GS/GQ/G2/P2/T2 EVGA PSU or equivalent top quality.

I am interested in international purchase
However if the units are already in Canada, i can pay a little more, since i will not have to pay for import.

If you have any of these, please reply here or PM an offer and i will respond depending on the current budget.

I've got both Ants S7's B8 and Avalon 6's... would consider selling a couple... Running close to 160TH and already melted one electrical panel Smiley  Before I burn our shop down, I might consider unloading some.

PM me if interested... Units are in Quebec / Ottawa... can deliver to TO & MTL.

Cheers.

I'm a-ok with face to face, if i can test them out a bit. I live next to Ottawa, so no need to go all the way to MTL or even worse, to Toronto.

There is a groupbuy going on for the Avalon 6 for $1100 USD.

Its a decent deal and they might ship to canada.

Everything else looks still overpriced.

Thats a nice price for an Avalon 6, i'll think about it. I'm not sure when that would hit, but in 2 weeks, the 1100USD S7 will start hitting doors, so on a hashrate comparaison, i might stick to S7.

What are you paying on S5's?

I am not buying S5's anymore, but i would guess they're around 0.6~0.7BTC+shipping now.

I meant $50/per month in Canadian funds not US.

Didn't realise you were talking about US Funds.

Our exchange rate sucks now if you want to purchase goods so I understand why you don't want to pay $140 USD = $184 Cad for an S3.

Ahh, that solve the mystery. Well in case there is any other confusion on my offer;

I am talking about 100USD shipped, which mean of course i would consider 140CAD shipped. I have added this note to OP to make sure no seller get put off by the ambiguity.

Canada/Québec is merely where the item must be shipped to. Smiley

In Quebec do most homes there use natural gas for heating or is it electric?

In Alberta pretty much almost all homes have natural gas, and when its -30C an electric heater is a huge waste of electricty hence most people here dont use miners to heat their homes only natural gas. In the East it might be different, so maybe that's why you are having trouble finding miners locally since its almost Winter.

I'd say electric but its still somewhat contested. The electricity is very cheap here however so thats a plus. Not many seem to realize ASIC heating is THE best hands down. I offered it to a friend and i was looked at like i was weird.

Anyways, Its not the winter, its the BTC price. It was very easy to get 2 weeks ago. Now suddenly people ask 1.5-2x for the same miners.

I'll just sleep on it and hopefully someone come up with a good offer for S3/S4 or S5.

Yeah don't buy that Antminer S3 for $140 CAD, you will regret it.

Well, good thing i sold my BTC when i felt it was plateau-ing, now it is going to drop for a while, not sure how far before eventually rising again. This means i'm still interested in buying Antminer S3's and all the others, though its hard to put a hard/fix price on the miners.

If anyone has from S3 to S5+ for sale, please contact me if you are willing to ship to Canada. Thanks!

Right now is quite possibly the worst time to buy a miner and the best time to sell a miner.

There are no more sellers anymore. An Antminer S3+ makes almost $100 in 2 months with free electricity in Canada.

So you either need to wait or pay the premium.

I only buy miners when the price is crashing, you can get them for free almost if you look hard enough.

If you are looking to add extra hashrate just overclock your current miners. You can probably overclock them by at least 10% or so. Its free.

100$+40 Shipping, 2% pool fee, a generous 500 GH/s pool side give ROI in 120 days with "free electricity", not all that spectacular. And what i'm saying is, sure, BTC went up. S3 was being sold for 0.25BTC so 55-60$ then. And now 0.25BTC would be close to 80$, so 80$ is fair, so 100$ shipped because of the "BTC Excitement" is fair.

Point is, Ebay is typically always overpriced and now people are trying to sell miners *here* for most costly than Ebay, which is selling for 117$ Shipped.

My S5's are already all running at 1300GH/s, the S4 would probably explode if i raised it by 10% since it has the same PSU as stock.

So i mean, i'm all up for following the BTC price, but miners don't double in Value because the BTC price go up a bit. Looking at the steady up and down trend, BTC might rise to 320$ before testing bottom again.

But you're right, i did realize that its best to buy miners when the BTC price is down. I might just buy a little and keep the rest for when the BTC price crash again.

You sure you calculated it correctly? Its like $49/per month per 500Gh/s right now.

The reason why the S3 is so expensive now is not due to BTC price but due to Supply/Demand of miners. Since the price is up, nobody wants to sell. Hence large demand, low supply and that's why the price is skewed.

But yes right now if I wanted to clear some miners I would be selling all of mine at a premium and then in a few months buy them back cheaper.

The best is to contact buyers locally when the price is crashing (<$200 BTC) and they will be nervous and sell the miners for almost nothing. If you heard how much I paid for most of my gear you probably wouldn't believe me.

The most expensive miner I ever bought was $165 USD. And the longest ROI was 2.5 months. Shortest was like 40 days.

Well yes. 0.008RatePerTH*0.5TH = 1.2$ per day About 35$ after a month with 2% difficulty raise. And thats assuming BTC at 305 for all the time period. We had a straitforward raise pretty fast, i doubt there's enough floor to support it, eventually its going to collapse before normalizing again.

But i guess youre right, i been steadily getting very cheap miners so maybe thats why other feel i am so stingy on the price. Considering my last 3 purchases, unless you got S5's for 100$ a piece, i won't be very surprised.

Nontheless, maybe just selling the Bitcoin soon and buying everything back when the price is down again is the way to go. Hard to make the decision when you do not know the future for certain.

I am just outside Albany NY, not sure if you travel the 87 much, but I have 8 x s3+, 1 S4 and several S5's. Given shipping costs, maybe pickup is the way to go.

Let me know

Hello, i don't have a car ^_^". I'm tapped out in funds at the moment, but i will be looking to buy more S5's in the future. I may have to remove S3 and maybe S4 from my buying list, i only have 800watts of power free on my power grid for mining, so after that its replacing older gear, and replacing older gear with slightly less older gear is probably not going to be enough.

If the price is right i would buy a working S5 from anywhere. If you have a concrete offer for 1 or 2-3 S5, i'd be interested to hear it, however it will take me a bit of time to replenish my funds.

The next thing i'm picking up will be a single S5 blade, as soon as i can find one at a good price. So i was going to let this thread rest for a bit until i have budget again.

OK, thats fine. I have the hardware listed other places also so lets check back in a while when your ready and I'll see what I have left at that point.

I am now looking to pickup some deal. If you (or anyone else for that matter) have S3's already in Canada, shipping them here might be doable.

Also interested in S4, S4+, S5, S5+. The S5 at least, would probably not be an issue if shipped from the US. Not sure about the shipping cost for an S4, it might not be doable. From outside Canada.

I am close to Ottawa, if local drop off is a possibility.

I do have 6 S3+ for sale at the moment and possibly a few S5's. This would ship from zip code 12110 if you want to see if that would work. I am looking for $100 per S3+

Its typically come down to 40$ shipping per S3, with the price you are asking, that would be 140$ per, about twice the price i'd buy them for, so we can scratch that.
Then for a S5, i'd offer 270$+Shipping for one, but if you're asking 140$ shipped for a S3, it sound like you'd be asking 400$+ for a S5, which is also too much?

(Delete and Repost)

For the next 24 hours only i will be buying S3~ at 100$ Shipped per.

As BTC keeps pushing up, even S3 and S4 become very profitable, thus I am going to ask 100 plus shipping for s3 and $400 plus shipping for S5 and $675 plus shipping for S4. That is still better then 90% of the listings on eBay and I guarantee my units perform to factory or better unlike some of the crap sold on eBay.

Then thank you for your offer, but i will have to pass, as Canada Ebay has the S3's for cheaper than your asking price. 2 Weeks ago people were getting rid of S3's at 60$, and i do not believe the S3 to have suddenly doubled in value, even with the BTC going up 30%.

I'd still rather deal with people here so, my offer for S3's is valid to anyone for the next 23 hours.

If you really want an S5 badly enough your only choice right now is that other thread on here where he is selling 30 S5 for $320 USD each. He's in Ontario probably so shipping will be cheap for you.

I'm not in any hurry. I'm looking for deals and am open to offers. If Skycoin Lab's S5's are v1.91 i could be interested close to that price, but i'm not that interested in buying one for 330$~ total, and the price is not good enough to bother asking yet, but i will probably make an offer sometime soon, see if he can sweeten the pot.

Otherwise i might just pick up some deals for S3's. Where do you go about finding those local S3's you're talking about? Just the fact they would be located in Canada would cut the shipping cost in half and may prove of interest.

I have S5's for sale for $320 and S3's for $70 Buyer pays shipping. PM me if you interested

7 x S3 Units and 4 x S5 units left to sell

Now have budget to pick up another S5 or such. If you have something, let me know. Smiley

Also interested in S5 parts;
-A working PCB
-The black plate you bolt the controller on and into the frame to keep everything solid.

I'm also considering picking up portions of S5+ since its basically just a beefed up S5.

I have added EVGA G2 to the list of thing i wish to buy, there is not much place in the title to fit it, i'm not sure if i should start a new thread. I guess i'll leave it for now. I'd also like some long 18 pins cables. The cables you use to connect PCBs to the daughter board.

And now we have a real life experience of why people sell(and why people actually sometime buy it); Most people have absolutely no idea how BTC work.

Hopefully someone with proper sense will come and offer me some nummy S5's Smiley I think now that 320USD$ is way too much now.

Yeah I took like an hour to explain the basic of mining and BTC. He was quite happy to meet me.

Yes the S3 should be 0.25BTC or so which is like $75 because I bought a bunch locally about 9 months ago for $100 but in my area people are selling these things for $150 a piece saying that in Alberta we have low energy prices and they are huge money makers.

Sound about right for the S3 value, but the people in Alberta must be living in some kind of illusion. According to http://www.ucahelps.alberta.ca/index.aspx the prices range from 5+cents/kWh in summer to 11+cents/kWh in winter.

I'm not sure in what kind of world that's cheap but if those numbers are relatively accurate, then that's certainly not true.

Seeling gear based on your power price is pretty dumb IMO.

Well the value of a miner is based on its profitability, which is based on the overall electricity price vs difficulty. To me if i got a S5 for 5$, i "could" ROI it in a month. To most people that pay a regular /kWh rate, break even is probably not even possible in the first place.

I can understand the argument when haggling the miner's value, in this case it was simply a Fallacy. Good argument but untrue.

Yeah if you only look to your local sellers, the price can be influenced based on the local electricity price. I see S3 for 150$ on Kijiji ... Doubling the price because we have cheap electricity. would be is a rip off imo Tongue

I bought an S4 like 2 months ago. I told him, the price you have found are insane. Look, this is out you can calculate the ROI. He was like "WoW this is insane" Tongue

I'm not sure what those S4 numbers are haha, what are they?

And for the S3. I'm going to assume CAD, not US. The ROI would be 5 months with FREE electricity. Completely unacceptable for such old hardware. Not people who say "0.07$~USD$/kWh is cheap so buy my stuff for twice its value!" is just nuts to me. No offense intended to anyone.

Yeah no offence to anyone, just saying 150$ canadian for an S3 is an insane price.

it's was like 1000$ for an S4 ... ROI = impossible

Thanks to users who made me offers, i'm still looking to pickup another deal or two within a week. Please contact me if you have some tasty offers. Wink

I'm in Ottawa and sold S3s in June to Montreal. It looks like the prices have held up since then.

Sound about right, they were 0.3BTC~ then. They seem about 0.25BTC~ now. So fairly good on retaining their value when you consider people are trying to sell small batches of S1's for 5$ a piece.

5$ for S1, where ? Tongue

It was a guy dumping all this S1s and S2, the S1 lot for 11 was 90$ or so, the S2's were 100$ each. Would be nice face to face but if you ship them, then not so much.

Yeah, shipping = deal killer Tongue

Yes, indeed. Otherwise i would of taken the S1 lot i think. I'm thinking of building a rack of S1 with no fans and use those to replace my electric heating for the winter in my room.

They would be completely silent and cover the heating cost of my room for winter. Smiley

I think they would required a fan. My modded S1 cards (at 0.9-1w/gh) was getting too hot without one

At 40watt per heatsink, i think passive cooling from the heatsink will be enough. I ran one at 140GH 1.1w/gh without a fan for 1 hour at low ambient temp and it was running at around 60c. I would think clocking it at 90gh at 0.9w/gh would be fine, but we'll see. If i can keep the fan going at 800-1000rpm i might leave it on, too, since it would be quieter than my quiet PC.

I am in the same boat as you. In Canada and looking to buy some S3 and S5 but sellers are asking ridiculousness prices.

Locally the prices are even worse. There are sellers selling used gear which cost more than new gear.

Its a sellers market right now with mining equipment.

S5 you will probably never get for only 1 BTC, but you might get an S3 for around $100 CAD or so. Those in most areas of Canada don't make much money if the miner is paying for electricity but the S5 is still profitable for most people.

The S5 price has gone down 25% so S3's price probably went down quite a bit as well. I'd pay more than 1 BTC for a S5, it stand to reason they are worth a bit more than 230$ USD at the moment.

An S3 for 100CAD shipped/delivered would be of interest to me, but i could also be interested in a "s1 to s3 upgrade kit" kind of by using existing S3 parts without the heatsink, though i'd probably need the fan as well, and if they're in Canada i might as well grab the whole thing. But regardless, i'll buy some hardware, i'll take the best deal and i'm patient.

Hopefully someone come to me with a reasonable deal before i get another loud S4 ^_^".

What province are you in? You can probably get an S3 for close to $100 Cad. I've seen some sellers locally.

The S5 should have gone down 25% however its price remains constant at around $320USD or so, which is what Bitmain was selling at. The S5 is still profitable so its going to be hard to find someone desperate enough to sell one.

The one i got from bitmain was 430USD including shipping and import. The price in BTC was 1.65 for the unit + shipping, but that was before the last BTC crash.

I am in Québec, next to Ottawa, i put an add on Kijiji but i didn't get a reply. Not for S3/S5's anyways. I would mind picking up a few S3's at that price or a S5 for 400 CAD.

i know you said good condition, but imma leave this here for you to consider..
i have an s5 with some issues.. im not sure exactly whats wrong with it, but i do know one of the hashing boards is totally fine, and the controller board was recently replaced by bitmain.. i could sell it to you on the cheap & low if your interested..

Sure well you can give me more information, i'm not sure about forking over too much money for such unit for i'm listening. Or if you have a thread where you're already talking about it. That would work too.

Information such as, whats going on with the miner, what PCB version the 2 PCB are, how does it behave, why is one of the board dead, etc. Such information would be needed.

all i can tell you is that i got the miner from someone here on the forum and within 3 days it began to malfunction.. for what reason i do not know, but it would go down to 0 hashrate for 1 board with (------) in miner config for that board.. it would stay accessible via LAN..
eventually, however, (as in the next day hehe) the 2nd board would also hash down to 0 and the miner would be on, but not mining at all.. it would start mining whenever it was rebooted or reset in any way, but eventually go back to 0 within 15 min or so..
i sent the controller/hashing boards to bitmain, and i know they replaced the controller one.. i dont know what they did to the hashing boards, but they are basically the same as before..
i reassembled it, but tbh pretty badly at that.. i would take $100 including shipping if that works for you

edit: i forgot to mention ... it does mine now at half capacity.. consistently

Sure, can you get on IRC or Skype or something? I got a few more questions but half one is a bit like of a S3++ so i'm interested. Lets take it to PM.

i know you said good condition, but imma leave this here for you to consider..
i have an s5 with some issues.. im not sure exactly whats wrong with it, but i do know one of the hashing boards is totally fine, and the controller board was recently replaced by bitmain.. i could sell it to you on the cheap & low if your interested..

Wow you'd pay 330 for s5 shipped right now?

in a couple of months they will be 200 or 1 btc I think.

S7 impact will be huge!

I my self am also looking to add 20 pieces of S5 Miners but I will wait at least for the panic sellers, when diff goes up 10 % or more a couple of times after each other.

I live in the EU so no competitetive advertising or anything Wink

If S5 offerd to me I have to check numbers with diff increase 5% (could be more) and then it is hard to make a profit even with free electric

And now a bit less. With all the announcements with the competition to Bitmain being made, it look like within a month or two, we'll have another hardware war on our hands. With this being said, this would equate to a sharp difficulty raise so, right now i'm not even sure i want to pay 0.22$/GH.

I might still be interested in a deal like two (v1.91 PCBs) S5 for 500$ if its like already in Canada or shipping cost is eaten.

But i might very well just wait for panic sells since sellers at the moment seem to think like they're gods right now and don't need to make an effort to sell unless you "make them worth their while".

I guess it's still a seller's market but with the hardware coming, we'll be looking at S5's taking S3's position. S7 taking S5's position and non Bitmain hardware take the lead or maybe Bitmain will come up with something interested labeled S7+ or something.

I am still interested in your S3's and perhaps i could could pick up a S5, but did the situation since the last time, where you gave me a 40$ shipping per unit quote, change?

I'm looking at a 330$ shipped for a S5 deal at the moment from skycoin lab and would be interested in S3's at 85$ shipped for S3's.

Let me know if you need any more PSUs to power all these miners you've been picking up lately Smiley

Trying to pick up.*

But i'm not sure i will pickup more server PSU since their fan control is messed up. It look like the fan speed and the noise is load based not temp based so it doesnts matter if its in a 10c room, they will still make tons of noise.

So for this i am running that at 50% load, at which point they are pretty quiet. I just don,t want to buy more hardware that make a lot of noise anymore. If i can't get it under 60dB then i'm not buying it.
