Meh, I've decided to hold out on buying the laptop, and to wait until after January. I looked back at the price charts for the past three years and every single time, Bitcoin prices have risen substantially right after Christmas season. The price of the laptop may have dropped by then too.

newegg aceapts paypal and as much as i hate paypal its not gonna be hard to get someone to give you paypal funds for btc Tongue

PayPal worries me because of chargebacks though...

You are offering less in BTC than the item costs?
5.2 is 718.60
Laptop is 799.99

What price quote are you using? At time of writing (12:20 CST), MtGox prices bitcoin at $157, and 5.2 x $157= $816.40

You are using Mt Gox, he was using Bitstamp (much closer to true market price imo).

I'd like to buy a Lenovo IdeaPad Y500 from NewEgg. I will pay someone 5.20 BTC to pay for, and ship the laptop, which is listed on NewEgg here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834312438

The buyer would need to take screenshots of proof of confirmation of order, and the invoice generated by NewEgg. Bitcoins will be released from an Escrow upon arrival of the product.

I have been unable to buy $800 worth of NewEgg gift cards without paying crazy commissions, so I've turned the community for some help.

I was curious about this as well.  I'd be willing to do this for 5.85 BTC.
