Well that's interesting.  Ngl it kind of makes me want to fund it now with a low denom of like 001 lol.  I'm sure it's safe to use as a wallet.  I find it hard to believe no one has ever funded one.   Huh

I'm pretty sure it is safe as well - I actually helped BG4 create the Bitcoin Stock Certificate vanitygen code for the 1SHARE addresses, using Node.js to search for addresses and print/use the ones found.. Cheesy ... Knowing a bit about the code used to create those (they were later than these actually, but probably still the same process afaik, I know the privkeys were always destroyed in the vanitygen process part of the code (in memory and on disk) Huh .. I'd feel plenty safe loading one myself, but just never saw another user sell one that was loaded ... Maybe someone else does recall a loaded one, IDK... But yeah, they are awesome artworks/wallets either way. Wink

Why do you say that?  I was thinking of funding a couple the other day, so this is kind of funny.  I don't see how it could hurt the value.

Well long ago, I recall BG4 saying they were made as art, & weren't really meant to be loaded. I don't recall seeing any user-loaded ones here before, but I think if you were keeping for later resale, it would probably be better to keep as is, but others may not agree.

Oh Ok I found it... Wow, I'm getting old!... Huh  https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.16798826

Then again, he contradicted himself in a later post, mentioning they should be "loaded and stored so that that your kids will find them someday" etc. Wink

To each their own as they as say... Just never saw a funded one for sale before I guess... Wink

Then load it.

Basic rule of thumb for Papersafes. Never load them, they are worth more unloaded IMO.

BTW, good to see ya back @BG4, long time no see/talk! Tongue
