Totally agree.  Lack of a good camera and time to get one is an issue, but I'll work on it.  I wouldn't buy sight unseen, either.  Putting in a solid bid will motivate me to do this faster as I'm juggling some other priorities right now.

Pix would help. It is like a girl trying to get a date on a dating site. Without pix it is hard to know if you like them.

You have any good pictures of it?

Likely a bit high, but it's far more reasonable than 1.2 btc which would be a semi-lowball offer for a 2013 coin.

Edit: I apologize to mods that I addressed three replies in three separate posts within a matter of minutes.

1.2btc...escrow, of course  PM if interested

Sorry, no way I can possibly let a 2012 go at this price.

My counter proposal is double your offer.

With that type of expectation just do everyone a favor and say offers accepted over X

Offers considered over 1.8 btc, but that doesn't mean I'll bite.

If you received directly from Casascius, would you be able to get PGP docs from him and extend the chain of custody to buyers? I'd be interested if the docs were available.

Possibly.  Is there any purpose to this besides simply knowing that noone else had ownership of the coins?

The public address itself would be verifiable through his site.

Sheesh... I used to have a stack of the 2012s. Gave them out as stocking-stuffers for Christmas 2012. But hey - that's what Casascius coins were originally for; to generate interest/curiosity about bitcoin. Giving coins away during 2012 certainly did that, as it helped friends/family gain a real interest in that odd internet-money I was constantly talking about...

Anyways, good luck on your sale.

Hello,

Up for sale is one (1) 2012 1-BTC Casascius physical Bitcoin.  The coin, although not graded, is in excellent condition and has not been touched by hands, dropped, etc.  The coin was received directly from Casascius and immediately placed in my safe

As far as I know, these are fairly uncommon.

No set price.  Make an offer that accounts for shipping.
