Yes but my friend is now reluctant to sell as there is no new hardware out there to replace his missing hashing power. However I guess if you offer a really good price he may change his mind.

Yep totally understand your viewpoint. The other sucky thing is the high energy price in UK as compared to some places in US and Canada.

Yeah that is my big challenge in UK I was at some point back in 2013 looking at getting a mining co location up and running but despite costs to run at co location plus equipment and get services in place it looked good on forecast for 6 to 8 months to run smooth and then to do future ahead and well it went very interesting and soon went into negative figure.

Looked at setting up small whorehouse and own location would work pretty well but now with costs of energy yin UK would be killer. Only way could work at it is a solar station and also have close to river location or something and have energy that way along with heating and storage heater converting into heat to energy and then all self effective mining cooperation but man funding for that would be insane.

Still looking to a lot of stuff and how can put miners to use and how to be cost effective. I have a few plans that am working on and is looking good so far to get a business running but still  sorting out the cost side of things but its getting to a positive side of numbers and if can get into mega plus figures then I will be doing a nice thread and some sort of crowed fund for it.

Wish I was in Canada right now as  I would have some. If shipping UK no doubt would cost a fair bit in customs and also importing and shipping fees too. So bitmain have actually stopped selling S3 now then? First heard of this guess I need to check their site out more often lol.

Yeah sadly these are not worth shipping as shipping costs would be close to or near the purchase price. Yes they stopped selling these officially. S5 is where it's at but even those are in limited supply and overpriced.

Indeed I just looked at them S5 they do look tempting however I don't see they will ever brake even at their price and what diff is and going to in the next 4 to 5 diff changes and price. If price was on BTC was at double or more then it might be worth it but right now its dead for buying and mining unless get a good ratio on cost and energy. I would love to continue mining and get hands on some more equipment but cost, to mining, generating and energy used is a no go for me. If was in Canada then I would have or shipping wasn't bad then would consider.

Your best bet is to just post this on Kijiji. You won't get any high bidders because CanadaPost overcharges on shipping and most buyers won't want to pay that ontop of the purchase price.

Yeah they're already on kijiji actually and according to my friend the units are moving slow (ie being sold), but he's not really eager to sell either because there is no new gear to replace his missing hashing power.

Well according to what he tells me "this weekend i have order for 5 S3+ and 2S3. S3+ package for 420 and s3 package for 380/400 depending on situation."
I think he is getting a better deal selling the locally so I'm starting to think closing this thread might be best as it's not likely he's going to get much action from the forum. Based on that price he's getting his asking price of 169 CAD (133 USD). He's selling them with HP 1200 watt PSUs too that each cost around $70 CAD so it's a decent deal I guess.

well i would take 10 in toronto for the right price (ideally <$140cad/ea)

Ah right, forgot about ebay. At below $100 it may be better to just mine with them until they are no longer profitable.

what price would you be looking for to sell 10 units near M6K Toronto? CAD payment preferred

"My asking price is 150 USD" is what my friend said.

He can sell 10 for 1400 USD

eBay prices are ~$80?

eBay prices are overinflated. These things are $150-200 on eBay but I am pretty sure there are huge return rates thanks to eBay Buyer Satisfication when buyers realise how long it will take to ROI.

I think a fair price is $75-$100 for a used unit considered you could of bought one for $104 USD from the manufacture.

Paying $100, free electricity and you only make like $1.50 per day anyways. So its crazy paying $200 for these things at the current conditions.

Right now $150 USD is pretty much $200 CAD. Way too much. These Antminers S3+ were $105 USD shipped by BITMAIN about 2 weeks ago.

I could take at least 10 of these, but the price would need to be significantly better to compete with buying 0.5-0.7w/gh SP20 gear.

any chance you could do something like 10/$1150 or 20/$2100?

Maybe, it would all depend on my friend. I do believe you have both our e-mail address via our past contact via our mutually known local classifieds site. Please contact him directly with your offer.

You ask to match new s3 140 dollar Wink bitmaintech website

? They are $149 on the bitmain website, and those are not "new" units. They're all taken from their existing mining operations. So regardless from whom you buy you'll get used miners. Also it appears that on the bitmain website the purchase minimum is still 2.

6 more units have likely been sold..waiting for buyer to arrange pickup.

After speaking with my friend he decided to lower the asking price down to $149 USD ($169 CAD at the time of this posting). That's the same price as bitmain, and with his miners you don't have to pay for shipping nor import tax.

Hi, I might be interested in all of your S3's but I just noticed this sale on S3+ miners from bitmain.
What price would you want for all your miners left now (66)?  Surely you have seen this thread as you posted in it looking for a deal.
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.9939264

seeing as the S5's are rolling off the assembly line, I can't imagine your S3 units will hold value much longer as ROI on these may be stretched out a long way.   If you want to sell all of them in a group, shoot me a real number.

Yep, I've seen that thread, but the quantities are more than I or my friend can afford and I think we'd be overwhelmed by the sheer number of miners. We would prefer something more dense. As for the price I don't know if he can match bitmain's bulk pricing but I will pass your interest on to my friend who owns pretty much 99% of these miners on sale here. If he wants a quick sale I'm sure he can be flexible on pricing especially if you're willing to purchase them in one lot. So you may be able to get close to the bulk purchase price and not have to buy so many at once (500 minimum from bitmain)

PM me your phone number if you're in the area and he will call you to discuss further details.

I sure hope your in the Ontario/Quebec area as local pickup is the only realistic way of doing this.

Sorry friend, you'll have to at least compete with SP20's bulk new prices w/ free shipping ($0.31/ GHs, or ~$140 per S3) to be competitive if you are looking to truly offload them all at once.

Oh really. Have you ever owned a SP20? Do you like jet engines? No? Why not? S3s are home miners, and no matter what SP-Tech would like you to believe SP20s are not. S3s also allow you to segment power usage and placement with more granularity. But yeah having said that I never said we are not open to offers.

Also I'd like to ad that we're mainly targeting the Canadian market where people have to pay import taxes on miners.

So, the great Canada Post says it will cost $24.28 CAD to ship to you. Not so bad considering these things are 6 kg each.

As for escrow we prefer OgNasty. You pay escrow fees though (1%).

Ok, it looks like the shipping cost per miner is $41.95 CAD. This is with UPS.

If the S3 is shipped through Canada Post it should cost $15-$17 IIRC. That's what it cost me to ship an S1 across Canada, and I suspect that the S3 wouldn't be much different price wise. If you want to cut down on shipping a little bit look into Canada Post.

Yeah it's cheaper with Canada Post if you send in Canada. That price I posted was for a guy in the United States.

I would be interested in 4 of your S3's, I could offer $185 each including the PSU (I would need 2 PSU's) and shipping to the carolinas (NC/SC). Although I am really only looking to buy 4, I would be willing to buy 6 (including 3 PSU's) at this rate

I don't think we can include the shipping in the price as it would likely be a good chunk of the actual value of the unit. PM me your postal code and I will try to get a quote nonetheless to see if it's worthwhile to ship.

Hi there everyone. I'm selling on behalf of a friend a big batch of S3 miners (not S3+). They are available for pickup in Toronto or he can do personal delivery if you're in the GTA area. We'd prefer to sell them in one lot. We're asking $170 per miner. They do not come with PSUs but if you want we can provide you with a HP 1000 watt server PSU for $50 (these already have soldered PCI-E cables in place). This PSU can easily power 2 S3s without breaking a sweat.

Accepted payment options: BTC equivalent at the spot rate at the time of purchase.

Lot price: $170 USD per miner
Individual unit price: $170 $149 USD

Local pickup or drop-off is preferred. Shipping is possible but at buyer's expense.

All of them are hashing just fine at the expected 440 GH (except 1 which is hashing at 400~. For this we can give you a $50 discount). Proof of hashing can be provided of course.

Please PM me or post here if you're interested. Large lot buyers will take precedence. Ideally we are looking for someone who can buy all of them at once.
