Monthly (more or less) bump.
Price dropped to $500

Have more stuff to sell, just a lack of time to list.

Is it me or are higher priced collectables just not moving the way they used to?

-Dave

I wouldn't go that far.  I think the main problem with these collectables is that they are not in any way connected to Bitcoin outside of the brand name and the brand has taken a bit of a black eye lately.  With that considered, a lot of people are probably looking at the spot value of this item which is below $240.  So I can understand why this might be a tough sell.  However, I'm sure there are still people who like the brand and collect them, so the right collector looking for a deal is probably watching and waiting to strike.  Good luck!

Yes, with a but. If you look at the last auction I did: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/auction-2016-crypto-imperator-0125btc-silver-12oz-bitcoin-halving-coin-32-5505172 or the one I have up now https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--5507494 there is / was very little interest.
MJ has had a couple up too for higher value loaded pieces that have not moved.

Not that big a deal to me, they will sell when they sell it just feels to me that things like this used to move quicker.

Dropped price to $850.
Still not sure of what a fair price really is, but since I am in no rush to sell it I will just keep dropping the price here and there until it sells.

watching as I also have one for sale.

You price is lower then mine, but it is a 64 vs a 68.

Makes you wonder as collectors are people who do collect the crypto stuff as picky as those doing other sorts of coin collecting.
Guess it's a good test since we can see which one sells 1st.

Unlike a lot of other coins we do know how many of these crypro collectables are out there so it's a bit different then the 1932 Quarter that people only have a general idea of how many made it to today.

Forgot I never sold this.

So now it's just a flat $1000 shipped anywhere in the USA.
BTC / LTC / ETH / some other coins can be discussed.

Pack up one thing and find 2 more things under it.....

Bump and price drop to BTC0.045
Fall is here and the car shows where I was spending time to move that stuff is coming to an end, so time to move more crypto items.

Will keep moving things out bit more, depending on my free time.

Bump and price drop to BTC0.0475
Figured by now someone would have grabbed it, yes .0475 is a fair amount of money, but for a rare collectable like this I figured it would been sold.

Kind of interesting, wonder what the true pain price is for collectables and people not wanting to spend more then a certain amount on them.
Or is it just people don't want to part with their BTC?

-Dave
Ah, forum sales are dead for the most part. I noticed this a while ago, but thought it would have recovered by now. Not the case but it will happen eventually.
Have you tried putting it on scarce.city - not sure if they offer a normal sale option that's not an auction, though.
I already got one of these, otherwise I'd be pretty tempted with a first (and only one) platinum collectible.

Watching. How many of these are out there?

According to the link: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/pre-order-bitcoin-penny-platinum-4731555 there are 70 of them. No idea how many still exist, i'm assuming most but obviously can't prove anything.

Using the date from the ann thread BTC was between $7000 to $8000. So, using today's BTC price I am asking for about a 3.25 to 3.5x premium on it. BUT looking at what other things sell for it's not that out of line.

The 2019 was cancelled. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/pre-order-canceled-the-2019-bitcoin-penny-platinum-commemorative-coin-5183424 So unless there is some other oddball one out there this is it for PT coins.

I have one of these as well in an ICG slab. You can see from the angle that the coin is sorta falling out of it's insert/rubber coin holder on one side.

FWIW, mine has the same issue. I guess they slabbed it a bit too loose in the size of the rubber insert.

I think PT was worth a bit more at the time these sold, but I can't recall exactly. GL, I like the format, it's interesting/different....

Mind if I ask what yours was graded at?

And yeah, I think they used the gold insert and since platinum is 10% heavier then gold it's loose since it's 10% smaller Sad

-Dave

Love these "Bitcoin Penny's" - I have 3 graded from ICG as well.

Good luck with the RA Dave, definitely a rare platinum piece for any collector to have in their chest Smiley

Mine is a PR69 DCAM ... And yeah that would make sense about the loose insert, thanks.

Are there ANY other platinum crypto collectibles along this wonderful rarity?

Good luck with the auction, reverse is a cool idea.

@owl: True, Platinum didn't appreciate in value like gold did, but still it's probably the only Bitcoin themed collectible made of platinum.

if it helps - I will volunteer to re-ship for any international buyers - DaveF, if ok with that can ship to me and I will reship. Again - only if both seller and buyer agree.

It originally sold for BTC0.07  https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/pre-order-bitcoin-penny-platinum-4731555

The payment address is: will be provided upon sale, can be public (preferred) or private.

If you are long time trusted member I will take a few different methods of payment including some ETH and LTC and some stablecoins and possibly Zelle

I WILL NOT ship this out of the US. This not me being difficult. I cannot leave things that need customs forms at either my home or job to be picked up, and since I violated the no international rule the other day I have had something that sold on another unrelated forum in my car for over a week trying to get to the Post Office during business hours to drop it off. I know minerjones https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/minerjones-346731 has re-shipped internationally for other people here so he might be able to do it for this too. But, I am not volunteering his (or anyone) else's reship service.

If you have any other questions feel free to ask. (And yes, Dave are you out of your mind asking so much for this is a valid question, but the answer still is...don't know what it's worth so it's as good a place as any to start it...)
