I don't think the rating on the OP by shield is accurate as the OP's password was not changed in the 30 days prior to the thread where the OP's account was supposedly sold was created nor was it changed in the ~45 days after the last post in the above thread was made.

I have traded with the OP in the past and I would say that he acted very professionally and the deal went smoothly. However I have no way to determine if the gold the OP is selling is in fact legit, nor can I say that it is not legit as this is not my area of expertise.

Sorry but based on what i see at first glance your post - vouch dont give confidence:

Not saying anything but after quick look up in your trust dont think your vouch means anything.

I agree. just because 1g cost let say 35£ dosnt mean is not worth to fake it.

If 1g to produce cost below 10£ thats 75% profit. Multiply that by 1000s and how much u made?

If probability to be caught and go to prison for making fake gold bars is 0.1% - multiply it on 1000, and how much you get?

Hi

Quick question.. If you moving so much weekly can you provide details of your source?
I mean u need to have receipt of some kind. Also everyhting above certain amount will fall in to AML so if those are real deal you hopely registered as bullion trader.

Can you provide details so we can verify with your supplier that you acctually buying real deal?

Some of these are private holding acquired back in the days when KYC was virtually non-existing. Also the broker who sold it went bust so all records were "vanished) (off the grid)

I can't disclose the owner of the gold as that would defeat the whole purpose of me selling it for him on his behalf.

But a mil in gold in moving from AU to BTC so thats a good sign I think.

Also alot of the gold will have receipts from reputable dealers such as APMEX and others. Purchased recently.

Regarding the "private holdings" gold thanks for answering but you would have been better off not answering that part of the question at all if the best you come up with was what you wrote.
This makes it sound dodgy as hell.

Receipts from APMEX will help.

If there are recent receipts from APMEX or any other company, there is no anonymity to being with. Anonymity for his "seller" was one of his reasons for not selling back to a company.

Dodgy indeed

Maybe he will honey dick us with some real bars, then bring out the fakes.  ..or maybe this is a giant money laundering scheme...haha

So your not the official owner of the gold? its someone else?

I think meet in person is best idea. or why not take it to a gold dealer near you?  Sure you must be able to sell them where you are for cash rather that use escrow online.. I bought lots of gold never once have I sold it again online. Always taken to pawnbrokers or gold dealers and get spot price.

I think there is no need to check any bullions and bars with weight below 1/2 Oz

Nobody will spend effort to counterfeit 1/10 Panda with price $ 140

Sorry guys I have not check in for a few days, damn... looks like theres a good demand and interest here. I'll post pics of one of the bars soon, the shipment will be slowly coming in, and for the record, these are authentic. feel free to test them or do whatever you wish. Now the only reason I am doing this is to help one of my buddies to move some of his physical metal into BTC for ease of portability and Cash for other personal reasons.

BTW, my account is not nor ever for sale...

Culex

What country are you in?
The only way i can see these or any future bars being sold is if you personally meet with the buyer at a facility where they can be tested before purchase.

The trusted feedback on your account is too old to take into consideration.

USA, I can meet anyone to test these at place of choice. I'll get some photos tomorrow.
Depending on what area in the US you are in you shouldn't have a problem selling some of these if willing to meet and verify gold before sale.

Buyers beware, don't take cash to the 1st meetup.

kinda goes both ways no? I can risk 1oz  Cool
Ah yes your right, maybe both should turn up with security  Wink

What is 1oz of gold worth now?

If anyone is still interested in this, I am offering escrow for a transaction with this user for a 1% fee. I will not escrow the physical bars, only the Bitcoin. Testing is your responsibility, and I expect some sort of evidence presented that the bar is a fake if you wish to have your funds returned pending it not being genuine gold.

Thanks for the offer Smiley

However I do want to question, how do I as a seller ensure the buyer presentation of the "product" is the one I sent, I mean, cant anyone just pull a fake gold and say they got fake gold? You guys think theres a good way to ensure that?

This is something you would have to discuss with the buyer and agree upon beforehand. I as an escrow will simply uphold the agreement between two parties based on the standards you mutually agree upon. If there is some kind of dispute I will do my best to make sure both parties are treated equitably. On a side note, if you are able to demonstrate to multiple people you are offering a legitimate product I don't think this will be much of an issue for very long.

Hello, getting shipment tomorrow, now off topic those of you who knew me, I sold GPU's back a few years ago for cheaper than market price. Also since I am selling real gold, I have no problem and confident enough in my products to withstand any skepticism or questions. In fact I want people to be very careful online no matter what you think I may or may not be..., how ever please don't ask me to send samples, unless you pay or escrowed, no sample. My prices are very fair and I can provide in person trades for large amounts in Bay Area. ( try buying 100k online or local dealer then you know what I am talking about.)

That's false.

The same guy that sold me a fake PERTH bar gave me a fake 1oz silver eagle as a "gift".   He said he had 60x of these silver eagles.

Fake silver pandas are also very prevalent. Look @ all the Chinese sellers on eBay.

Here we are talking about ~$20

I was not clear - I meant specifically gold bars and bullions. It is super easy to make a fake silver due to lower density of Ag compared to Au. And this why it is about impossible to make a fake Pt coin or bar.

Chinese can make Cu-Zn alloy with 10% of Ag and fool about every person. Not XRF of course

This is correct. While smaller denominations of fake metals are harder to pull off and less common, never assume they are real just because of this.

I have been sold fake PAMP and PERTH 1oz bars.

The packaging is flawless(at least the new counterfeit packaging), I could find no differences.  The counterfeiters did an excellent job..haha

For the actual gold..  with the PAMP bars you can notice some differences in detail on the lady fortuna side(up close).  The PERTH bars are not as detailed so they look completely legit.

NOTE: The bars can only be tested once they are out of the packaging, so be aware that you are going to take a slight hit for resell/investment right off the bat.

**The pictures in the OP's first post are of the older counterfeits**

Not true, gold can be xrf checked throught the packaging

here is a pic of my nice Chinese 1/10 auspicious matters getting xrf checked through the OMP -

I once had them test a silver panda in its capsule and it was not reading properly.  Maybe it depends on the machine, they do not have a handheld one. ..or they were just doing it improperly..haha

Question - were those bars your first bars you have seen/hold? If no - could you tell the difference by just looking and holding the bar?

I've hold more than 100 1g 2.5g 5g and 10g Pumps and can easily distinguish them. Never hold 1Oz bar - so curious.

The 1oz fakes are very well done and hard to distinguish from the real thing. The only sure way is to have it tested.

As much as id like one of these id be pretty hesitant to buy one. I have basic acid tests for checking gold purity but to confirm they arent just plated you would need to file down an edge or drill it. Would be a shame to do and then find out its the real deal so without the fancy machine i think it would be hard to tell.

OP. Seeing as though you move 40-50 oz a week which is a lot, are you willing to send 10 oz to a trusted escrow, then allow that escrow to go and sell the gold? If its legit then the escrow can just send you your cash in btc or whichever way you want. You wont get a 10$ premium, and will maybe even lose a few dollars but it can be worth it for you if it helps you build credibility and client base on the forum.
if you do this I may be interested in buying gold from you.

Escrows aren't going to want to waste their time with this.

some may. it could be profitable for them if they become the defacto escrow for all future gold purchases from this vendor.

Trust me, they have better things to do than run around testing probably fake gold bars. if you are that interested arrange escrow and have the bars tested before you release payment. Having one of the bars drilled out and acid tested might be the best option. You can do this yourself easily as well.

Do not have to go that extreme, if your gold dealer has the appropriate equipment.

Shield pointed out this suspicious account sale, which is likely for the OP's account: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/wts-hero-member-account-soon-legendery-1207378

Also 30-50 oz a weak is a lot, more than $50k.

For any potential buyers just make sure the bars aren't tungsten inside lol... It's going to be quite difficult to test those bars out, unless you are willing to pay a hefty $400-$500 for a precious metal verifier.

These PAMP bars are most likely fake.

The packaging will look completely genuine, however, the gold is NOT real gold.  I was sold 2 of these bars a few months back.  I took them to my gold dealer, cut open the packaging and had them place the bars into their fancy gold testing/xray machine.  The bars were made out of mostly copper and zinc.  Tungsten is another popular choice.

30-50oz a week..lol

I highly recommend using escrow and getting these bars tested before releasing payment. Fake 1oz gold Pamp bars are abundant and widely available from China.

agree, although the op seems well established here

His trust has an indication that this may be a sold account.  I don't see any real proof that this is true, but any potential buyers should be aware of this possibility.

Good call.
