That's the premise that we operate on, but there's some instances that would make you think twice about that being the case. Are you sure you don't want to make an offer, Mitchell? Wink

In any case, the roll has been sold and the doodle is going along with it. Locking up this thread, but thanks for the opinions, offers, suggestions and conversation. You all have been fantastic, buyer will remain anonymous, as will their offer(s).

Thanks for not giving me too hard of a time, and being very understanding.
We are all adults and collectors in the end, right? Wink

Your opinions are greatly appreciated, because otherwise I would have no way of hearing any dissenting opinions and consider alternatives. It's a fair point, but I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one. Thanks for not giving me too hard of a time, and being very understanding. I'll probably be accepting the best offer I receive by the end of today.

Trust me, I wish I could hold onto all of my BP collection for at least another decade, but for now that's just not in the cards for me. Chris, I hope you aren't offended, but if I am ruining the purity of your gift, then please let me know and I'll reconsider.

So you get something for free, as a gift from BitcoinPenny to the community, and the minute you receive it you are try to sell it? To me that feels.... bad.

To be honest, I was going to sell mine as well.  I even asked a couple people.  ...but after further consideration, I cracked open the box.  The doodle went to The Mantis Doodle Collection.  The singles will be gifted and the roll will go with the rest of my BP collection!

You know what, you are right. It is your roll and it's up to you what you do with it. Do as you please. To me, it just feels wrong to sell something that you've just received for free.

Well, currently my options are give it away (barely an option), throw it away (horrible option) or sell it. I explained my situation in the OP; extra money or BTC is what I need currently for a seamless transition in my life. I'm not able to take it with me, nor the rest of my BP collection and therefore I'm selling it all off. BP/Chris often express their enthusiasm for the secondhand market of their products and I'm 99% sure they feel no type of way about this. So, neither the manufacturer, designer, owner or potential customer(s) have a problem with this. Only an outside, unrelated third party, from what I can tell. If Chris meant for these to be held onto, or at least, never sold then I'll lock this up the second that is made clear. If the community decides that selling this is unacceptable then I will lock this up and hold onto it. Just seems silly to try to shoot down the sale of a collectible if someone is able to keep it safe and wants to hang onto it, when I am unable to do so; regardless of how it was acquired.

It feels, bad, that you'd want to control how I handle my BP collectibles. Is there never to be a value put on these? Is there never an acceptable trade to be made for these? I'm not trying to step on any toes, but I thought that's one of the main reasons people dealt with collectibles, for the joy of trading and negotiation. Little did I know that I was making a lifetime commitment when asking for my DREAM Pennies.

I guess I could just throw it away if there's going to be bad blood, which is the last thing I want to do, but I figured it would be best off with someone who missed the opportunity and wants to make a reciprocally satisfactory negotiation. I appreciate your input, but coming in here specifically to shame me for selling a collectible is the strangest thing that's happened to me all week.

We also decided to keep the price as low as before. That way, the collectors can have fun in the secondary market. LOL

I assumed this was applicable to all of their products.

Thanks for throwing out the first offer JanEmil. Not a bad starting point, but hopefully I don't have to fight an offer out of MJ.

So far the Current Offer is .005 BTC (with the doodle being a mystery), any other interest? These can't be acquired outside of the very few people that grabbed theirs within the first couple hours of announcement.

It's a suprise, MJ, we can't have you picking and choosing based on whether or not you like the doodle. At least, I'd prefer to keep it as a surprise. If I do say so though, this doodle is my favorite doodle, of 3, that I've received from Chris. Let's call the doodle a wild-card Wink If it's paramount to receiving an offer, I'll share the doodle, but I figure it's more suspense-building this way.

Original ANN thread : https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-bitcoin-penny-invisible-dream-edition-4694622

These are all handed out at this point, and I'm wondering if there is anybody out there that wanted to receive one and didn't get the chance to. Maybe someone that wants two, I'm not going to judge. I have mine in it's original package, including the doodle and everything that it came with in-tact. I'm selling the entire package that arrived, unopened roll, few singles, some stickers, magnet and doodle.

Anybody interested in buying it? Taking offers, wondering what it's worth to you beautiful people, and if it's a solid figure then it's yours. I'm probably going to liquidate my little collection of BP products in the coming weeks, since I'm planning on moving and can't take much of anything with me.
