Obviously u doing a lot manually, and i do understand where u come from. But by threats of banning someone u will not get more customers.
Just change that to something less scary and problem solved.
Fair point and taken. This will be changed next week hopefully into something more friendly.

Good approach:
What a warning. hahahaha

What's good reason means?
Anything that's reasonable, basically. So it could be a situation where your bank says it can't process faster payments, or even just a mistake. Really it's just not appreciated when people cancel 5 or more trades giving an excuse like 'asdasd'.

I take it you thought the warning was a bit too scary? I'd certainly consider rewording it.

My site, Bittylicious, was just released to the public which allows users to buy Bitcoins in return for UK bank transfers (Faster Payments, i.e. regular bank transfers for most people). It's not a marketplace, so users can't register as sellers; it's really just a simple service to send Bitcoins once money has been deposited.

Margins are minimal in order to get the word out, so it's a good place to get some cheap Bitcoins. There's a limit to how many you can buy (0.5 BTC for unregistered users, 1 BTC for registered) but this value goes up the longer you have an account.

Visit http://www.bittylicious.com/ to buy. For comparison, the current rate is £69.43.

Feedback, constructive criticism etc. all welcome.

Another update:

Bittylicious has been providing genuinely competitive prices for a few weeks now, measured by sites such as Bitcoin Average at https://bitcoinaverage.com/#GBP

Bittylicious has now enabled sales in EUR to The Netherlands with a seller that operates there. Technically, any user that can send near instant SEPA payments to The Netherlands is welcome to use the service.

Just a quick update:

Bittylicious now has a couple of other sellers on board which are able to sell Bitcoins at their own price. The cheapest offer is always selected for the buyer, so this means that buyers can get a better deal.

Right now, coins are being offered at £73.05 although yesterday evening, there was a cheaper offer at just over £70.

That's a big improvement thanks - now all you need is to beat the 7% rate (your's is still over 8 Smiley )
We dropped this down to 6% yesterday evening and it's currently 6%.

It's because the redirect you have in place takes you to https://bittylicious.com/1

the 1 is causing the 404 - if you manually remove the 1 then it works ok
That was a typo in the .htaccess file. That shouldn't have been there for at least a few minutes now though, although your web browser could have cached it. Can you try again for me using a different browser or (possibly) restarting your browser?

How embarrassing! Can you please try again now?

I still like bittylicious but I found a site willing to sell more than 0.5 BTC at a time (more pain to register tho)
We just released the latest version of Bittylicious with increased daily limits. You are now allowed more in all circumstances (considering the drop in BTC price) but also significantly more if your first purchase was more than 3 days ago.

Yes I'm seeing that now

gox 53, you guys 57.7, max coins I can buy 5.2 (I do have a sale > 3 days)

That's a big improvement thanks - now all you need is to beat the 7% rate (your's is still over 8 Smiley )

I still like bittylicious but I found a site willing to sell more than 0.5 BTC at a time (more pain to register tho) at btcquick.com - 7% markup - buy any amount - bought 5 coins today... it's not a bank transfer - just a credit/debit card payment.

Will it reduce the markup on the market price? ;-)

i could only buy 1 last time? normally I could buy 2 at any 1 time. why the bit limits and time delays anyway?
The limits are really there to stop new users from buying a load of BTC from a stolen bank account. The next release (with a bit of luck, today) will lessen these limits for users that have had a Bittylicious account for a while as you guys would be more trusted.

Or £42 for £51. Other than that it's really good and simple.
I'm not sure why you saw such a price difference - the margin is currently around 8%. We still need to semi-manually check things so it's not as low as it should be.

It could be a strange situation where gox had something like 0.01 BTC available at a low price with a significant price jump until you could buy at least a few BTC. Bittylicious bases its prices on the 'real' cost of buying a couple of BTC.

I'm glad most of you are having a good experience with Bittylicious.

I've brought down the margins a bit now that we're trading semi-automatically. They're still higher than normal, but that will go down soon.

It's because we're doing manual trading at the moment which requires a lot more manpower than automated trading. We hope to return things to normal soon, but we're not sure if it'll be today or not.

Ok thanks for the reply

just used your service 3 times so far XD very good and much cheaper than anything out there a feature i would love to see is being able to pay the transaction fee as 1 of my orders has taken over an hour the que just gets longer and longer XD, other than that its probably the bet place to buy bitcoin in the uk and could quite possible be the best place to buy bitcoins anywhere in the world, the whole thing is much less stress than dealing with any other service out there

i would be interested in knowing how you get bitcoins in the first place do you buy them in bulk or mine them??? just curiosity more than anything

Just made a test 0.5 BTC purchase - the whole thing took 5 mins for the coins to arrive in my wallet - I didn't bother registering this time, just entered email address and wallet address - this looks good for UK coin buyers - the rate I paid was 1 BTC = 61.2 GBP when MTGox was showing 1 BTC = 59.1 GBP

So hardly any mark up over gox - thanks!

Just bought 2BTC. Took about an hour and a half from start to finish.

Was a little worried as the site had no escrow, but the BTC came through so I'm happy.

Spoke to the Admin before I started and the were friendly and helpful. I'd recommend the service if you're a UK resident as it is a pain to try and buy BTC here.

Bought BTC0.5 last night, instant delivery - took maybe 10 seconds to verify?

This is exactly what has been needed in the UK for far too long, highly recommended !

We've just added a few more features, the most important one being phone verification. This, in reality, means that the maximum amount of Bitcoins you can buy has now doubled.

Current price on Bittylicious is a bargainous £68.89 per BTC.

Site looks great! UK needed this badly! Just curious what are they sites rates? Same as Gox or Gox + 2% etc?
Thanks very much for your comments!

The rates are currently pretty low to get the word out (so about MtGox plus 1-1.5%). This will probably increase in the future, but hopefully not by too much.

I take it you are looking for people outside of the UK?
Indeed. We are looking to expand too (especially into western Europe) so we're investigating any options we might have.

Cool, the UK needs more bitcoin love, I was with intersango and Britcoin before that... Ahhhh, I miss those days and actually I really like that amir taki, he is a bitcoin purist and hates all the regulation BS! Full respect to him... I remember when I first sent my cash to him and was waiting to be ripped off but I never was, good lad...

Anyway your site looks nice, shame you have no option to sell bitcoins too.

Btw don't you think your account will be shut down before long? That has always been the problem with UK exchanges. Or is that why there is no sell option?

Best of luck to you though. Smiley

Oh and whats the deal with this?
