I didn't realize how well account selling is. Does the forum condone this?

Yup. Account selling is allowed here on bitcointalk.
You may check https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.3269475 to see the "official reasons" from a global mod.

How old is the account?  2013 but is it early or late 2013.

You can PM me if it's private info.

Also, how can one be sure this account wasn't hacked and stolen?  The original owner can easily get their account back and the buyer would lose their money.  This actually happens a lot.

The account was created in mid 2013. No the original owner cannot easily get their account back. Look in the meta for example a number of accounts cannot get their account back even they have proof. Theymos is very busy and this is the last thing theymos would do. Give me an example of the accounts that is returned to their real owner?

I prove that I own the account by signing using the bitcoin address posted on the account.
