Update:  I made a recovery SD card and was able to boot the unit and access it from the webpage, so the controller isn't toast.  It now boots without the SD card, Minergate says running, cgminer does not.

What is your location?

I offer $300, and I might be willing to pay for shipping to 98837 as well, depending on where you are.

I am located near Boston.

This still available?

Currently waiting to hear back from someone regarding a trade involving an S5, PSU and possibly some BTC.  But yes I still have it, although I have to leave the country this Saturday and I won't be back till Nov 15th.

I'm the one who sold the lot to witrebel, so I can vouch he actually has the hardware.

It's a shame to hear the SP30 died like that.  Undecided
Best of luck with your sale.

Appreciate that, and yes it was a real blow to my bottom line but hey these things happen.  Honestly what I should have done was had them send it to me immediately and electrically isolated that loop that wasn't hashing.  Oh well, lessons learned right?

We're going to need a bigger heatsink.

Honestly won't be offended by low balls, I'm just trying to gauge its value.  I have it, the cost is sunk, so worst case I sit on it and when I get the time I'll investigate further and try to get it hashing again.  I'm posting this because if someone out there is confident enough in their abilities to do rework that they make an offer, it might be mutually beneficial.

I bet I could most likely get it working again. Fixed a couple of s3's  and some s'1 that where dead and wouldn't even communicate  and a s5 for another guy. Never worked on a SP30  but electronics are all the same LOL.

I purchased a group of miners a few months back that were hosted at Great North Data.  Part of this lot was an SP30 with one known bad loop, it was hashing at a little over 4.0th.  A few weeks later, the poolside stats showed the unit dropping to 2.2th, signaling one whole board had shut down.  This happened overnight and was not noticed, but by that point, the unit had completely stopped hashing.  I believe it was hashing at 2.2th for approximately 2 hours.  I now have it in my possession but frankly I don't have the time to troubleshoot it and do the board rework that I pressume is required. It looks like one of the DC - DC buck chips let go, frying a bunch of caps and my guess is this is shorting or in some way disrupting the entire comms line for all the DC - DC regulators.  As it stands, the unit does not hash.  I am currently at work but I can and will provide pictures later on.  Just trying to feel out if anyone is interested in picking this unit up at a steep discount in hopes of getting it hashing again.  At the very least I assume someone would want the PSU's.  I'm open to offers.

I would love this but don't know what to offer since it is completely not hashing. I do not want to low ball you but don't want a expensive paper weight.
