Why is everyone thread-crapping on this guy's sale? If he wants to put it up at that price (which is pretty good for a 12-core Mac Pro), then let him! I personally love the Mac Pro's case but prefer to build. That said I won't just shit on his sale for it. To the OP, good luck with the sale!

Thanks for your interest.  Actually I have built many PCs for years.  And at this very moment I have this Mac Pro 12 core, and a Maingear Shift, and I like it... I do.  But I don't use it much.  So for all the people with my **** is bigger then your **** comments let me just say as an owner of two ****, I spend more time with the mac.  Why you ask?

1 ) Doesn't crash.
2 ) Hardly ever needs a reboot.
3 ) Has a real man's shell built in.
4 ) It also has X, graphing calculator, PDF viewer, automatic backups, quick look, and on and on ... built in.
5 ) Spits on small children.... (oh sorry no that's something else)
6 ) Two more years of support, including phone, in store, and full replacement.
7 ) Just works.
8 ) Based on a real OS (hint it ain't dos).
9 ) I spend my time using it instead of building and installing it.

You don't like Macs?  Fine, don't buy it.  You do like Macs? Well you can't buy a better one for 675 BTC. Period.

Now if your talking about Linux and you're a sysadmin, then fair enough go in piece may your crontab always flow.  But if you are a normal mortal and actually use your computer to do...you know...work then again you can't buy anything better.

Seriously though, this is a graphics and editorial box.  You're only going to want it if you do high end production work.  Hey I'm in LA, I wonder if that's a good target market?  If you are just driving to school and work, you don't need a Ferrari.

Just say'n,
j

P.S. You can't make a better PC for any amount of money.

Mac=waste of money

For $9500, you can just build your own PC that is 100x better

If you're looking for a PC, sure. But if you want to run OSX (and there are many good reasons to do so) and you want to run it on top tier hardware, there's not much option.

I guess as always it's a good "it depends". I'm not in the US or I'd be trying to lower that price. I know depreciation isn't as big on macs, but 20% off for a used machine? I'd put the 20% and buy a spanking new one, yet otherwise I'd certainly be interested.
You can make a much better PC with much better hardware for 9500

or built a PC and install mac on it. There are tons of guides and its pretty straight as long as all the parts support mac OS which most do without any issues. When you buy a mac your paying for the logo and brand name thats the only reason they cost so much. Build a $9000 machine install mac and try to sell it on ebay no one will want it b/c it doesnt say apple anywhere on it.

You're asking for 518-890 BTC?

pretty pricey

OEM Parts gain 500% market value when you put them inside of a Mac.

You think you can buy that same 2tb hdd from newegg for $75-80... but when you put it in the mac it's actually $450.  : P
