He's "fishing". There will be no legitimate pics. No way to prove that they are. The scammer I'm referring to was also in Germany. He went so far as to send me pictures of boxed miners and  legit Serial numbers that appeared in Bitmains website. He also offered a physical pickup but when I offered to fly there he changed his tune. ( this was a large purchase). This person I'm referring to even tried to falsify shipping invoices from DHL to prove the units had been shipped. He provided pictures of forged Country ID cards with pictures and an official looking seal on it.  Then he even kept trying to keep the story alive by saying they were held up in customs. More forgery of those documents. These scammers have gotten very tricky and very sophisticated. Because they know full well that if they can scam someone internationally the German Law Enforcement will not even pursue them. Be extremely careful with this. Obviously that's a "too good to be true" price.
Who and what is fishing ?
Why you keep repeating your sad story for a scammer from Germany? Million people living in Germany, which one you referring ? Cheesy And how is that person connected to my sale anyway ?
Why you keep repeating people should be careful with this consider i already stated that people should be careful dealing with ANYONE over internet?
While you were crying in this topic for being almost scammed by some guy from Germany, the units was sold days ago, and i didn't had chance to post that on the topic, because i was drinking beer with my friend for the successful deal.
They were sold local in Dresden, and thanks god not to some maniac as you.
Next time when you want to spam on someone topic non-senses, please, share with everyone PUBLIC why you spamming the topic and what's the connection between your useless non-sense spam and the current sale, because i am sure your spam is endless and will continue to other people topics.
No one care about your story's where you was dunk and almost fall in thru gay couple, or when you almost got scammed by anyone.
This is "Computer hardware" at "Marketplace". People actually try to do business here, not to share their personal life.
Consider on this topic had price, escrow and everything needed, your posts was not only useless, but also you seem like a maniac buddy.
If you need to share your stories with someone, please, find your section about that and do not spam people selling/buying topics.
You are not an buyer, seller or anyone who is in the mining business from what i can see, so most of your posts are also off-topic but seems like that's tolerated by the Moderators of this forum.
I also see that your topic receives "Merit" which was the "Cherry" in the top.
After all your useless off-topic non-sense comments about how some person from Germany did something, you even get something for that Cheesy
I don't really understand how that forum works, and how people receive "Rewards" as "Merit" for spam, off-topic, non-sense.
So far i realized there is few maniacs that actually earn by doing all that non-sense above.
Anyway, thanks for sharing us ur story, i hope you didn't get scammed by that German person.
Don't forget to remind to people in some other Market topic how you almost got robbed while you were drunk back in 2015's.
I am pretty sure many people will recognize the story as their and will give you awards "Merit" Cheesy

*This is sold. Thanks for everyone who had real interest in first place.
Also thanks to Phil who almost instantly offered legit escrow service!
I still believe there is many legit businessman's and normal people like Phil to respond as normal human beings and have a normal conversations.
If in future got in touch with more miners, i will request Phil (If he is available) to post on my topic providing his escrow services, and from what i learned from the previous posts, from now on the topics will be with pictures with date and forum name.

It should not be too hard to come up with a proper sales thread, including some pictures of the hardware.

E.g. see my old L3+ sales thread https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/sold-bitmain-antminer-l3-504mhs-with-the-bitmain-apw3-power-supply-3727045

@ op no hate just lots of scams and scammers have posted.
newbies do it a lot.

I try to encourage as best I can on a sale like this.
But look at it from my view point as the escrow.
I may spend 3 hours work time doing the escrow.
I have been very good at this but I would handle 5 x 1700 = 8500 usd

There is always a risk for me that I lose it.
A fuck up a mistake etc.
I have to honor the deal if it is  my error.
I always have and always will.

A PHOTO OF FIVE BITMAIN BOXES with

A piece of paper saying S19's for favebook

July 2020  laying on the five boxes is pretty easy to do.

Look what I just did for a buyer

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.54881944

he wanted be to mix and match parts.

then make a video
of the new build and post it on youtube.
I did and made the sale. here is the video of the build.

Video link

https://youtu.be/I6dBtfSsxx4

an amd  3950x with and evga 1660 gpu

and a lot of corsair parts.

But this is me and a lot of what I do here is for the sake of promotion of the forum and mining in general.

I think I know who this is. I've seen this MO before. Be very very careful. I would NOT buy these units "sight unseen". Why would someone sell these units at this price? When I dealt with this group they told me a similar story about the "electricity". It was a total scam. Buyer beware.
Could you explain what MO means? And "electricity problem" is common in Germany because of the price per kW/h. (Seems like you are not in Germany). Since when the high price of electricity or not enough of it is a scam? Could you please link us to the topic of this person you know ?
Everyone should be careful dealing with strangers over internet!
What do you mean "in this price" ? If you're trying to tell the price is low, then come in Dresden and take them all ?
How come you calling something a "scam" consider Phil offered escrow service, and myself offering a local pickup ?
Some people are insane around or just trying to look more helpful by pointing non-sense.
There will be either local pickup or escrow via Phil. From what they should be careful of? Phil or the local pickup? Be more specific.
As i said to user "favebook", already requested pictures from the guy and they will be provided soon as possible.
Not sure how those pictures will make this deal more "secure" consider there is two secure ways to buy them?
If you guys want to farm your post count here with no sense, there is "Report a post" button which will gladly use.
Everything important was posted already, as pickup place, escrow and price.
If anyone like to ask important question or make proof based statement, please do so.
But do not spam people topics with non-sense.
You guys making newbies or anyone off-forum decided to come over here to feel sorry for wasting his time.

And not in last place thanks to Phil who offered his escrow services!

I was once a newbie and was treated the same way, do not take it personally, it's just how life works everywhere, not only here on this forum.
It is true that there is a lot of scams going on here on this forum and your price is a bit lower than usual (overpriced gear) but I am actually and truly interested.

Pictures help so I can see that miners are legit and that they are in-hand at your place (or your friend's place).

They might be farming post counts but those are usually useless and they probably won't get any merit for those posts so just ignore that.
But it's usually a tradition that if you see way too good deal here, some of the members will WARN others about potential scams and you SHOULDN'T take it personally as I told you already, as they are just warning other newbies.

You adding pictures and more info (like if they are opened or not, how old are they, who were they bought from, etc...) will just help you sell those faster as you will "prove" that you actually have them and are going to great lengths to prove you are for real.

"Posting for a friend" has been dodgy on this forum before and I am not really sure why people do this but my best guess is that seller is not that knowledgeable about forums and/or ASICs and you are just helping him sell it faster or you have a cut for yourself in that.

Alright, already requested him to do that.
And Phil, i am fine with escrow, just need to explain him how it is work.
By the way, seems like they are 9 now, 2 were sold off-forum.

escrow is simple.

buyer gives me a btc refund address

seller gives me a btc payment address

once i have both addresses ...
I consider your feedback enough good for 16k usd trade and doesn't need to be in chunks.

okay sounds good  looks like favebook will want 3 to 5 pieces

escrow is simple.

buyer gives me a btc refund address

seller gives me a btc payment address

once i have both addresses

i give a btc escrow address.

lets say 9 units are sold for 1700

9 x 1700 = 15300 usd. say shipping is 700 total comes to 16000

buyer sends entire 16000 to me I would charge 160 or 1%.

if buyer agrees to pay my fee he would send 16160

if seller agrees to pay my fee buyer  would send 16000 and when buyer gets working gear i send 15840 to seller.

other points once i have coin and it confirms i tell seller to ship gear.
once buyer gets gear he has a day to check it out.

assume it works he lets me know I send coin to seller.

in case there is a problem we fix it one way or another.

maybe one unit comes damaged. etc.

In all my escrows I have been able to fix issues which is why I have a good trust rating.

I realize 16000 usd an estimate on my part is a big sum .

We can do a two part deal i don't mind.

once I have both
buyer refund btc addy and  seller payment address I give the escrow address

buyer sends the coin. at that point coin is frozen so if coin goes up seller still gets the sent amount.
if coin drops buyer does not have to send more.

so coin price risk is share by buyer and seller.

in fact even i share the risk as my 160 usd worth of coin could go up or down.
I consider your feedback enough good for 16k usd trade and doesn't need to be in chunks.

I am interested in those units. We are not far away and I would like some pictures with date and your username near the units just to confirm authenticity.

Also, I am either paying in cash (if we can meet - highly doubtful) or in crypto.

Paying only via confirmed escrows here. Phil could escrow, will ask him.
Where you from? Crypto would be the payment and i am not sure why you highly doubt about meetup?
If you come to pick them up, i guess escrow is useless at that point.
Will ask my friend to take pictures with the boxes with date and etc. but don't expect him to open them just for the pictures (if he is willing to, i will be more than happy to provide that).
As i stated that's just a favor to friend of mine.
I will do anything he agree to provide me.
But i guess local pickup would be the best way, otherwise i need to explain and show him the escrow part.

Serbia.

Crypto it is then.

I do not expect him to OPEN them if they are unopened. If there is original Bitmain seal/tape on box that is even better. Just tell him to put a piece of paper near the part of box which says what miner is inside.
Local pick-up will probably not be possible due to corona and restrictions in my country as well as in EU. Every day it's getting worse and worse here so... Escrow would be great especially since Phil is interested.

And again, just to make myself clear, if boxes are NEW and UNOPENED, there is no need for him to open them.

i handle a lot of escrow. i am well known to be honest. have handle many sales with larger sums then four of these units.

you can simple click on my trust and read it.

you can also look at my ebay account under philipma1957

and see i have thousands of buys and sells there.

we have a lot of scam attempts on this board.

so escrow is advised.

also on a meet and greet for thousands of dollars i advise buyer and seller to be aware of the danger of doing that.

good luck with the sale.  but you will find most people that are long term members will shy away from

a large deal with a new person. unless there is an escrow.

Units are not mine, they belong to friend of mine.
I am helping him out if he can find sellers around because the electricity for the project was not enough.
Miners are in Dresden, Germany.
Those 11 was never opened and never used because of the electricity issues... (Sadly).
My friend wants 1800 each but price can be negotiated if more than 3 units goes in single order.
It was pain in the ass for him paying customs fees and can't even use them but i guess less loss is better than full loss...
I believe they still have the bitmain warranty
