I never heard that...i am selling it since i don't need it but i don't know about ranking..i know that fiverr ranks based on sales/age and also when you resubmit new gigs...

Do you have any gigs on this account still or it is an empty account? If you already removed all the gigs from the account then based on my experience, new gigs posted on such accounts will go rank in Fiverr system. I may be wrong on this part but based on my experience difficult to rank gig from a long time inactive account.
