This laptop has UNACTIVATED Windows 8 and has no COA. You will need to get your own COA or reload clean. I tried to load windows 7 but it need special drivers so far no luck. Windows 8 loaded easily. Genuine restore disks from HP are available for less then $20 though you may need a COA as well. Or you could just load Linux.
