Can you root the Kindle fire and install a vanilla android on it (with access to market and all)?  I kinda like the hardware, but would like it without the amazon drm crap.

This is a great example of Bitcoin's crises as a currency. We are here on the most popular bitcoin forum. And yet, people are more willing to pay USD for goods then BTCs. The same happened to me here (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/wts-quirky-e-gift-cards-64283). Because Bitcoins are designed to be deflationary people are not willing to spend something that they expect to rise in value in the future.

An effective currency is a currency in circulation. The reluctance to separate from Bitcoins kills it as a currency.

What are you talking about? He said he would pay $150 USD bitcoin equivalent. How is he wanting to pay with USD?
