It sounds to me like you bought miners that belonged to old customers that refused shipment due to a lawsuit. Don't be shocked if contacted by the lawyers lol.

a lot was new a lot was mix and match...and doubtful....they would not have sold them with the bankruptcy lawyers unless they did the old "all vendors with issues/
payment liens etc contact us by this or that date' ..the usual lawyer cover your butt stuff

Naw they are bankrupt and gone.....all redress with KNC proper is now moot and in the wind

we bid accordingly.....and were correct 20% damage and broke rate due to temp workers and crummy shipping etc....but we pretty much expected that ...so

at least we had that much sense Smiley

Searing your story is that KnC had enough left over parts to create 160 or so miners. Does that really make sense to you? Seriously? Would you let 160 units worth of parts sit on a shelf when you could easily assemble them and mine? I doubt it. Having a dozen or so backup cubes would be standard practice for replacement hardware, not 160 full 400mh/s units.

KnC told people that refused shipment due to the lawsuit that they would hold the units in storage until the buyer wanted them. Those units have since disappeared..........and you magically were able to buy units no longer produced.

What Searing says is true. And yes it all makes sense.
The Titan project was canceled mid second batch. Not all Titans offered for sale in 1st batch were sold when they stopped offering it and offered the second batch. Not all of the 2nd batch was sold when they stopped offering it. The parts for both batches and extra parts would have been ordered from fabrication. As you may know the chip yield was not as good as originally anticipated. This would have used up some of the parts of unsold units, but there would have been more that a normal supply of Titan parts stock. If you think about it the months during and after the Titan shipping LTC went nowhere but down. Meanwhile KNC was putting all it efforts into the BTC DCs, and the Titan RMAs, firmware glitches, Lawsuits were a distraction from getting the DC's up and running, KNC no longer wanted to sell equipment directly to customers, so they pulled the plug on the Titan project mid stream(no additional sales, just assembling units already sold, and warranty service.)  even prior the delivery of the first Titan to a customer.

Regarding the units we received we found about 20 cubes with no thermal pads installed. We also found that sometimes the wrong size, and not all the same size screws were used for the cooler hold down creating uneven pressure. Also some had bent cooler hold downs.
We talked to another guy who got some of the Titans at one of the other auction, and none of his had the thermal pads. This all supports the fact that these titans were newly assembled, and probably by temps under the supervision of a few remaining KNC staff.

I first started communication with KNC Staff about Titans & Titan parts on May 27th 2016. I was initially informed that they were trying to liquidate other larger assets (Bitcoin DCs)  prior to the titans and parts. But it turns out that just prior to halving is not a good time to try and liquidate Bitcoin producing assets. I was later forwarded  to the Bankruptcy Estate Trustee Nils Åberg Advokat Partner with
Advokatfirman Carler.

I received a list of what was available and made a offer for the 24 newly assembled 5 cube batch 2 Titans and it turns out I was the high bidder. At the time I did not know there were other bidders. The subsequent sales a more outlined bidding process. I did bid in all 4 auctions, but was not able to purchase anything else as the competition was growing, and whales with deep pockets were there.

This transaction was the first sale of any KNC asset from the Bankruptcy Estate.

The 24 Titan 5 cube batch 2 units Searing and I purchased were newly assembled.  I confirmed this by personally speaking  to  Anna Jagdhar Head of DC operations at KNC.

The Bankruptcy Estate Liquidation regarding the Titans consisted of 4 different sales/auctions:
1. July 7th 2016 including 24 newly assembled Titans.
2. July 31st 2016 160 newly assembled Titans. (attached bidding instructions)
3. August 4th 2016 25 Titans of new and RMA parts. (attached bidding instructions)
4. August 18th 2016  The rest the Titan components (attached bidding instructions)

Attached documentation:
(drawn by attorneys not miners, and translated from Swedish)

Sale 2:

KnC Miner – Bankruptcy sale
~160 Titan batch 2 miners – bidding procedure and sales terms
The bankruptcy estate is producing approximately 160 new Titan (batch 2) miners that will
most likely be ready for shipping within two weeks (provided that nothing unexpected
occurs). Each miner consist of 5 “cubes”, one controller card and flat cables (jointly: one
“Miner”).
BIDDING RULES:
* All bids must be in USD (not including shipping, VAT or additional costs – see below)
* Bids are submitted through email to both the following addresses:
[email protected] and [email protected]
* Bids must state: A) price for each Miner; and B) the maximum number of Miners that
the bid applies to.
* A bidder may submit several bids with different prices (and maximum numbers). If several
bids are submitted by the same bidder, the bidder may also state an aggregate maximum
number of Miners.
* All bids will be communicated to all interested parties (by communicating a ranking list, see
below) anonymously - by stating a number that will be assigned to each bidder - which only
the bidder is aware of.
* Bids will be ranked by the highest price per Miner
* Bids that have equal price per Miner will amongst themselves be ranked by the bids’
maximum numbers of Miners (bigger number ranks higher).
* The ranking will be continuously updated and communicated to all other interested parties
when new bids arrive.
* The deadline for making/adjusting bids is 6 PM CET on 31 July 2016.
* When the deadline has passed, the final number of available Miners for sale (which may be
less than 160 or possibly slightly more) will be distributed amongst the bidders in accordance
with the last ranking list. This means that some bidders might be assigned a number of
Miners less than their stated maximum number of Miners and that some bidders might not be
assigned any Miners at all (if too low on the ranking list).
SALES TERMS:
* The Miners are sold without any guarantees, with the exception that each Miner will be
tested before delivery to make sure that each Miner, during those specific tests, can produce
400 MHash/s (screenshots will be saved and sent to the buyer as proof).
* If Swedish VAT should be applicable (when in doubt: contact us first), this will be added to
the price.
* Full payment is required before delivery. The payment is made to a client account held by
the bankruptcy estate in a Swedish bank.
* The goods are sold Ex Works, but with possibility to arrange shipping through UPS, the
cost of which will then be added to the price with full transparency for the buyer.
* The buyer will solely be responsible for any customs, import/exports charges or taxes or
other similar charges, if applicable.
* Swedish law is applicable on the sale. Any dispute arising out of the agreement should be
resolved by Swedish public courts, with the District court of Stockholm as first instance.
* By submitting bids, the bidders accept the terms above.

Sale 3:
KnC Miner – Bankruptcy sale
25 Titan batch 2 miners (RMA) + 5 Titan batch 2 miners (new but
suboptimal) – bidding procedure and sales terms
The bankruptcy estate is selling 25 Titan (batch 2) miners (built mostly of RMA parts) and 5
newly produced Titan (batch 2) miners which are ready for shipping directly. Each miner
consist of 5 “cubes”, one controller card and flat cables (jointly: one “Miner”). The miners are
sold in packs of 5 (one “Pack”). Thus one Pack consists of 5 Miners = 25 cubes. At this
moment there are 6 Packs for sale.
The tested hash rate for each Pack is state below, which has been documented by five
respective screen shots from the testing station testing each Miner in the Pack.
Please observe that this only states the test results on the time of the test. There is no
guarantee whatsoever that the hashing rate going forward is consistent with the test results,
therefore it may change – this in particular applies to Packs 1-5. None of the Miners are
expected to work at full capacity (i.e. 400+ MHs), this is because not all dies are expected to
be working.
Total Hashrate Av. Hashrate (per Miner)
Pack 1 (RMA) 1672 334,4
Pack 2 (RMA) 1668 333,6
Pack 3 (RMA) 1668 333,6

* Bids are submitted through email to both the following addresses:
[email protected] and [email protected]
* Bids must state: A) which Pack the bid concerns; and B) the bid in USD
* A bidder may submit several bids on different Packs with same or different prices
* All bids will be communicated to all interested parties (by communicating a ranking list, see
below) anonymously - by stating a number that will be assigned to each bidder - which only
the bidder is aware of.
* Bids will be ranked by the highest price per respective Pack
* The ranking will be continuously updated and communicated to all other interested parties
when new bids arrive.
* The deadline for making/adjusting bids is 6 PM CEST (Swedish time) on 4 August.
* If there are new bids placed for a certain Pack within 10 minutes before the deadline, the
deadline for this Pack will be extended another 10 minutes from the time of communication
via-email.
* After 6 PM on 4 August and when no new bids have been received for a Pack, the bidding
will be closed for the Pack
* The bidding on the different Packs are separate, which means that the bidding on some
Packs might continue longer than other Packs.
SALES TERMS:
* The Miners are sold as is without any guarantees, with the exception that each Miner have
been tested before delivery to make sure that each Miner, during those specific tests, did
produce a hash rate that in aggregate per Pack did have the total hash rate stated above

Yeah.... only if I could find out who bought the other couple hundred units ... and pitch the firmware to them ha! =)

that's easy...it was knc themselves...they got caught in the bankruptcy ..lost the data hall..because bankrupt could NOT move the units out...ended up
paying 400k for it all....we got 1st auction on closed bid by accident...imho freaked them out ..so the next 2 auctions were open bids all could see last
high bid and they crushed us.

These auctions had 6 bidders KNC mainly imho the whale I think was knc would run the bid up on say 140 or so units by 100 bucks or so just so they could
snatch the last of the crumbs of units up to max of 160....no way.....no one knew if the crap even worked .that whale knew...so imho it was rigged

from my calcs on 14.6c kwh elec I have at the units at 1900 bucks I will ROI in 5.25 months......because I'm pointing all my hash at this debt it will be like
3.5 to 4 months

KNC with the hash they got if Boden Sweden really does have 3c to 4c electric will ROI in about 3-4 months

so it was a NO brainer imho to get their titans out of the data hall and in private hands of knc insiders

makes no sense...can you imagine an open auction on these in Texas supposed 160 titans out of knc proper from folk/whales of the 3c kwh to 4c kwh areas
like Oregon or Texas...from my rough calcs even if you paid 4.5k you'd ROI at those elec rates in 3-4 months tops

the could have made over a million dollars or hell 2x that toward their IPO and bankruptcy debts

they DID NOT ADVERTISE AT ALL ...it was rigged ...we got lucky and i think one other guy(s) said they got 10 of them on bitcointalk and like another 24
the big whale got both

so anyway

1) you KNOW the stuff works cause you mined it
2) knc has tech skills to fix and or keep it up
3) knc insiders I should say now ..have 400k to toss about on this
4) they did NOT take 140 of them and walk when the price was correct like normal auction..they pushed for all still
5) super secret auction no one knows about but 6 folk bidding and that was thru law firm guy

yeah...well hell at least we drove the price up to 400k hell before we pushed it..likely it would have been at 45k for the works

anyone lurking from KNC on this thread ..gotcha Smiley

but my 2c worth....you will NEVER SEE any of these units for sale till maybe next year....they are gonna make still so much $$$ on this

no one has 215 or so titans used and new sitting around a data hall setup with Neptunes in a cube arrangement and does not put up

the odd 215 units (my supposed new units have used parts and coolers) and not miner them at 6x or more the profit ratio of the Neptune

cube stuff sitting about

KNC may do evil well! (tm knc) but they are by no means DUMB .....

so I'd worry little about a flood of titans in the future (unless I dump my 7 I managed to get this year ..still can't believe it)

Boy are you gonna be surpised by an email here soon...... not sure but likely more then the 24 Titans at 5 to a card...being knc and all some cards don't do
more then 4 ports. When Maxumark gets done and wound down from cussing the asic gods/knc/ups shipping/bad packaging/temp workers who crush boards
etc etc ...anyway once he is wound down from our 20% damage and completely wrong thermal paste an all

you will get an order for us

also sent you a pm on your pm

sorry we could not swing some units for you guys...but imho it had to be knc I mean they were bidding the price up to get the last 20 to 40 units...just no
way any normal whale would do that with the info at hand and questionable equip ....but the change to an open bid auction where you could see the high
bid..they just crushed us ..whale wise

anyway it was not a gift figure they paid over 400k but I mean really a super secret auction.....could they be any more obvious they were the run amuck whale?

and heck I did the math at 14.6c kwh I ROI in like 5.25 months.....at 4c kwh in Boden Sweden they ROI in 2-3 months at worse

It had to be knc as the whale it is JUST to slick and too quiet on all this to be otherwise

at least those who got some units mucked them up a bit and made them work for it

but damn ...I mean really ..they do 'evil' real real well imho

anyway my take on this more then confusing less then open and more then secret way to move 215 new 5 cube titans in the world....by all means don't tell anybody
it has to be for the reasons imho I think......KNC is evil but they are NOT stupid

anyway,  should be an early Xmas in Gen Tarkin's world lol Smiley

myself and friend were able to rip out from their claws 10 of those "unicorns" as You call them altho shipment for us is like 400$ and most likely we ain't gonna sell them unless someone offers insane price.

good for you sent you a pm......but man crushed we were ..i mean really every bid from 2 whales at 160 all of them...glad to see someone got some crumbs whole
reason we did this ....not a big deal was just gonna try for a couple for me and 10 for some others on here...but again crushed lol Smiley

(whales squashed me ) Smiley

The seller gave me that price in pm it didn't come to my head Tupsu
So when you say to someone a price and after 5 min I agreed to the sale the sale must be done.
What happened here is these 2 guys disappear for hours and then they said everything is sold.
Thanks for keeping priority to the sales very legit users !!

dang tough to do last of the unicorns....if i mine all my stuff 3400mh to the debt of 11.4k by nov 15th all my eguip
is again at ROI and I likely will clear 2k yet (3k now) a month

hard to sell our first wining batch when we lost 2nd batch for us and others due to whale stampede imho

so its about cash flow....in that I can hammer my debt away with all my hash..makes no sense to sell

in our defense we DID try to get some for folk (me 10 folk) bu...t blew by the prices with shipping i was told to get them for

not even trying to make a profit on the 10 guys i touched base with directly that I owe favors etc
....just crushed by whales on my attempts (ask around about 10 i think i tried to swing for folk at cost)

whales suck Smiley (new motto)

and by the way the equip is new but put together by temps with wrong thermal paste dc/dc's way too hot at 300mh .so complete re-build for all

but at 3k as i said in the PM to some folk .....the A4 at 280mh and 1000 watts is equiv to a 325mh 1250 watt titan eff wise

thus imho just get that I may get a couple A4's for that reason and i have frigging ave costs of 14.6c kwh and it works for me

just saying 3k may be too high for stuff kicked around in boxes in the whare house for 2 years and/or new parts true but hacked together with
wrong thermal paste (already looked) and temp workers (sloppy sloppy)

complete rebuild of new parts is fine...just annoying...so take that into consideration when they arrive and expect complete eventual titan rebuild per cube

Me I was just trying to salvage some of this for some others before it became a whale polka ...it was bad enough with 2 whales bidding for all 160 each bid

dumb asses...they should have bid less checked out the field and then let the guys mentioned on here get theirs imho..they bid up too high as a result

at 160 attempt each bid ...could have gave away some to small fry and kept the price much lower for their still large share imho (dumb dumb)

but man the stuff was new but sketchy....all salvageable due to being new but definitely temp day workers tossing it together we will probably post pics of such

could be worse could have all been returned RMA junk they dug out (it is knc don't ya know) that was my big nightmare ..so I'll take a build your own re-do project we have now

again sorry we could not pull it off and don't want to sell our first batch stuff we did get

but hell if I knew the damage and re-build rate of this stuff .it is kinda dumb in 20/20 hindsight we ever did try to get the word out..what if none of it worked?

anyway at least someone on here got 10 out of the whales grasp....that was the point...get some action with this rigged 'secret' 'tell no one on our frigging knc
swedish asic miner thread by any means ...that we are dumping 160 new units for titans)

if anyone wanted proof that this was rigged for knc insiders to get the vast majority of titans to mine again now that their data hall is poof on bankruptcy..this open
bid sale where whales can see top bids and crush you and again secret sale .....should prove beyond a doubt knc really really hates and is shafting the guys who put
in all that IPO $$$ and taking the brunt of the bankruptcy.

KNC ...we do evil well! (tm knc) sure applies from this auction(s) setup imho Sad

Long story short there was a KNC liquidation sale of freshly assembled batch 2 Titans from old stock left over parts.  Searing & I have been working on it since the Day KNC Filed BK. He and I went in together on the initial small batch and got it. When received it we went through the batch and inspected them and found approximately 20% had damage from shipping and or were missing the thermal pads. There was a second larger batch of 160 Units that was up for auction that ended Sunday 7/31/16. We factored in the 20% shipping damaged & incorrectly assembled into the equation as the sale terms were AS IS no warranty of any kind. Shipping not included. We knew if we sold any to any fellow miners we would have to guarantee a fully functioning 400 MH Unit so we bid on accordingly on 60 units. We knew we could sell at least 30 for $7.5 MH to 8 MH. We were blown out of the water by a whale who wanted the whole thing, and got 125 of the available 160 units. The other 35 were split between 2 other bidders on 10 units and 25 units. It looks like Supersonic was able to score the 10 units. Searing & I were not able to get any.

First off KNCFUN  I said I was looking for offers of $7.5 MH or more. I really wanted $10 MH, but was willing to look at the best offers of $7.5 MH or more.

I stated that I acquired a quantity of batch 2 Titans. I stated that I would entertain offers.

I said that if I did not get high enough offers then I would just mine them.

You offered $7.5 a MH and said that you wanted free shipping. We never had a deal.

I will explain the whole story shortly.

Thanks,

and if you offer  him in public $7.5 per MH   400Mhs x 7,5 =3000  USD she refuses to sell.

Exactly the same reason I left  A4 pre order,  since the system was unclear to me .

myself and friend were able to rip out from their claws 10 of those "unicorns" as You call them altho shippment for us is like 400$ and most likely we aint gonna sell them unless someone offers insane price.

Hey Supersonic. I am glad you were able to get some. That whale wanted them all, but decided to let just a few pass to others.

aren't you better off buying latest power efficient gpus and mine ethereum classic? miners are making fortune at the moment.

I am offering $3000 for one 'unicorn' like that

Clueless!
Ok I would like to buy one of these sets, how much do you want ?
I sent you pm also

Unlikely in my case and with all my hash new and old mining to get this to Roi for ALL
Equipment  by Nov to middle of December estimate. Then all my hash after Roi getting probably
At  3.91 usd per ltc (for crying out loud) 2.5k after elec profit a month starting JAn 2017

As you can see that with only this one auction win a crummy use of my Unicorns, to sell any. 😩

Max I told you that I will buy one at the price that you told me in the pm
I also asked you btc address in order to arrange escrow
So what is the problem ?
sell me one of these sets

Not sure about Maxumark but I only intended to sell stuff from this main auction.

The auction we stumbled over was new supposed old stock. I mean we more then kinda thought it
was a KNC employee insider scam. Was not even a kncminer.com address. Took us 2 weeks to finally
Check enough to believe. By that time this open auction version was in play. Likely so mice like us could no
Longer screw this whale party. Was suddenly changed to open bid auction so whales could see other bids stand amounts and not lose to small fry like us again
..... imho. Sure worked
Well for them.

Again crushed. But for me I was just trying 2nd auction to help some friends
And like 10 folk on here. But at 2500 w/o shipping. Well look up a 42 lbs box ups/DHL/fed ex to USA Midwest
That will wAke you up.

So likely the bidder imho for almost all of the imho was KNC. They lost free rent data hall for the Titans they
SAid they were not mining. Had to make it legit. We stumbled upon auction and shocked them on the few of that batch That likely were in a box. They had bankruptcy legit lawyer looking at this but likely imho kept in the dark on KNC's non promotion of this unicorn hunt to stop small fry like us. Again imho

It was the last great KNC Titan unicorn hunt we blundered into an won the kinda law firm
Open test auction imho. This big one with rule change we never had a shot.

Thus after bagging likely the last ever NOS KNC 5 cube 400 my units ever!

Well dumping this miracle to me never was an option sorry. Mainly cause no more unicorns

Anyway 2nd run wS to peel some away from likely KNC insiders getting the Titans back from default data hall.

But again I thought I had a fair shot for others but it was not for me.

As Searing said, we had no luck today. We would have had to pay up, and most miners that I talked to don't want to pay much over $7, or $8 a MH. One Whale walked away with 80% today. 2 other people got the other 20% but paid up. If you know anyone who did get any today please advise them to inspect them closely for shipping damage, especially the front screw that holds the cooler on. Check to see if bent or puckered up. (This is one of the reasons I designed my 4 point mounting brackets). also check to insure that the thermal pads are in place. Searing & I found 10 cubes with no thermal pads installed.
If anything else comes up I will keep everyone in mind that PM'd me.

Well I got blown out on the whales jumping in on more of these...so thought I might have some extra to move to folk on the fly (just to take food from whales)

got crushed on my puny bids for myself and various folk.

As to my 6 I got from the previous closed auction (current auction was open to see others bids thus whale road kill as they just rolled over everyone)

the math shows I'll have them at ROI by Nov 1st more or less so gonna mine them

sorry again tried to parse some out from this whale feast ..but again crushed on this with shipping

so anyway to the 10 or so folk I tried to wrangle something for did not work out Sad

I have acquired a quantity of KNC Titan batch 2  5 cube new old stock. I am entertaining offers but will mine them if the offers are too low.  My target price is $10 per MH. I have already talked by PM and know that just about everyone is willing to pay $5 MH, and I have some offers up to $8 per MH. Please PM me with offers of $7.5 per MH and higher, and how many units you want. It is limited quantity, but I will not say how many. Final decision will be made early next week on selling any, or just mining them all.

Thanks,

Max

For what it is worth I'm getting the same from his source. In other words I was at his house last week setting such up. He/we are legit on this. (See my trust rating I know Maxumark but he has a newbie tag yet lol).

Anyway Just to point out this IS legit. And payment WOULD be after the fact and when you have proof/etc Items exist. Thus you can do all your due diligence etc after the fact. If he/we
decide to sell any or just mine the works.

I know this is somewhat unbelievable but such unicorns do exist because I already got 6. I took 2 home already and am hosting 4 with Maxumark. They are truly 400mh 5 cube new old stock unused.

First come, first serve. (Me I'm currently full now with knc unicorn meat) So I may also sell some more (or not) as well ..not sure yet.....will see how Maxumark does on this Smiley
..
Anyway for what it is worth with my trust rating and what is up on this. Be quick to at least ask him details.  They will go fast. (the remainder we have) Smiley Again I may sell a couple

on top of his or I may not.....I actually just kinda sit around gawk at the 2 I have here and kinda drool a bit Smiley (Unicorn bagging shell shock) Smiley

If you don't trust us (again Unicorns) we understand. Just tossing my trust/rep status on here to bolster his newbie status somewhat..if mine is worth anything.

good luck
