The disconnect is that you're valuing in USD while most buyers here are valuing in BTC. Buyers are figuring out how long it's going to take them to recoup the 2.5BTC/each these cost @ $300.

Good luck with sale. I guess if you're a believer that BTC will be $1000+ each some day, 0.5 BTC each might be a good deal. Wink

I'm a believer in what things are worth here and now. BTC could do a lot of things. It could be worthless some day too, it's very hard to say. Saying "I'll pay .5 btc now for something that costs $300 usd or 2.5 BTC now, because I think BTC is going to be worth 1k ea some day" has got to be the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard someone try to use to buy something cheaply Smiley

What I do know is that this hardware can be re-purposed, making it better than ASIC in some respects. You can mine Bitcoin now and when you don't want to anymore you can re-purpose it for something else or just sell the hardware off as it will still have a solid hardware value unlike ASIC devices.

I was just trying to pickup the fpgas at a rate where I could deconstruct and re-purpose them. The things are literally worthless for btc mining at the prices they're being sold for when considering network difficulty.

I just sort of assumed you had figured that out and were 'cutting your losses'...

FPGA's are not ASIC's but certainly not worthless, that's kind of a crazy statement to make. You can't even get ASIC hardware right now unless you're paying 10+ times it's retail cost (and even hard at that level to buy) so I'm not sure I see a difference. These are more here and now.

They are worth more as hardware because of the fact that they can be re-purposed later on. They mine Bitcoin just fine and tons of people are buying them to do so. Lancelots are back-ordered for months. Will they not be worth running? Ya, sure, at some point in the future... then again, so will a lot of ASIC hardware.

Your statements are very inaccurate and ill-informed. Lancelots mine Bitcoin fine right now and make money.

$60 dollars? lol... come on man... really? The hardware value alone is worth loads more than that. This is all brand new stuff, no one is cutting any losses here.

This is an opportunity for someone to make a few bucks now and sell off hardware later on and get their money back.

I don't have room to run them with all the ASIC hardware I have now otherwise I'd keep them myself.

I'll offer 0.5 btc each.

withdrawn. Didn't know it was simply an unpaid space in line.

I'm a little confused then, you were trying to offer $60 dollars worth of Bitcoin for a $300 dollar piece of hardware that hasn't even been purchased yet? I fail to see how that makes any sense at all.

I am selling a pre-order position. This will get you a spot to buy some hardware in the next couple of days and be mining bitcoin with it. Not easy to get this soon for these devices.

I am selling these because I got my hands on a few hundred GH of ASIC hardware and no longer need these.

Hope that clears things up some.

Just to clarify, you're paying .5 btc per unit, so .5 x30 *for example, to take over the June 9th slot, you're paying 15 BTC for my slot, correct?

Thanks.

Are you accepting bids for the June order under your $300 purchase price?

Accepting bids for the pre-order slot, you're not going to get away with not paying their price for the units.
