My coin has sold. For anyone contemplating peeling a coin, I would say you also might give selling it loaded a chance.

Congrats, and I agree. With patience a reasonable and safe deal tends to come together.

If you have held the coin for over a year, there should be less tax to pay due to long term capital gains versus short term.....

Maybe find out if your buyer can do a wire/ACH bank transfer rather than cash?

Some good info I just found... Well.. Not so good, but ...

From - https://www.irs.gov/taxtopics/tc409

Net capital gains from selling collectibles (such as coins or art) are taxed at a maximum 28% rate.

Is that a new one? Lol...

After I learned that I will lose about 22% in taxes if I get paid inBTC and then cash out to my bank, I lost some of my motivation to sell. So for now I am hoping there's a buyer out there who can pay in US$ or at least a high percentage US$. I'm not sure if Minerjones escrow does $ transactions?

This forum typically isn’t for cash sales as you request, but Crypto. You are better off listing on Ebay or an auction house for cash. I will let Miner Jones speak for himself, but I doubt he would get involved in a cash transaction for various reasons including safety. Be careful of fraudsters, as I’m sure a few have tried to reach out already.  Good luck with the sale, nice coin.

I have one never listed, loaded 2013 Cassacius Brass 1 BTC. This is not an auction, but I am going to test the price to see if it is worth not peeling and selling blank. Buyer can feel free to use escrow. If there is a buyer close to Seattle who would like to pay cash and meet at Chase Bank where it is in a safe deposit box, that would be my preferred method of sale. Otherwise I am willing to use recommended escrow in this forum and take payment in BTC. I will take down post when an agreement is made.
