I'd assume something along the lines of a well-trusted escrow, once the payment is in escrow, I ship (likely USPS Priority Mail or UPS whichever you might prefer doesn't bother me), you receive (I'd likely insist on signature required), funds released. Something like that in it's simplest form.

Product Description:

Floating Montblanc emblem in transparent cap-top
Ruthenium-plated clip with embossed Montblanc brand name and individual serial number
Black precious resin
Ruthenium-plated fittings
Made in Germany

This was given as a gift from a family member, and as nice as the pen is, the truth is I just don't need it. I've used it a total of two times. I was assured it was real and from an authorized dealer. It seems very solid and well made.
