What kind of card is this? Why does it cost $800 on Amazon?

Is it better than the GTX 970?

Used mostly for machine learning tasks  such as deep learning or workload that can benefit from the parallelization that the many GPU cores offer. Anyways the seller has trust issues so use escrow if interested

Great price on a professional card.

If I was employed full-time in CADD, instead of just being a student at this time, I would likely scoop this up from you.

What competition were you in? (Sorry if off-topic)

Good Luck With the Sale. Someone will get a really good deal.

Robotics, they offer give you credit on a online store, after you pay your registration fee and my instructor thought we should start drawing up our own custom parts, but that never went anywhere so now we just have the card all packaged up doing nothing.

Its a professional graphics card meant for people who work with cad or work with scientific software .

Its depends on what your using it for, gaming gpu's are optimized to play games and professional gpus are optimized to work with professional applications.

well it is different then you fancy geforce, just because it supports some different rendering which are used in CAD applications. in nutshell, this is card for CAD/3D software but not for playing GTA5 or BF4. check it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nvidia_Quadro
