Can someone help me with my trust summary?
just got scammed $100.

I'm looking to deal more in there future, i'm genuine to the community. just hope things like that don't happen again, and i will be more cautious.

There is no feasible way to ensure a safe PayPal/BTC transaction with a newbie forum member. Or anyone for that matter. Although dealing with trusted established members could be arguably considered safer if not 100% safe. So give it up. Transfer your PayPal funds to a bank account and use those funds on a licensed exchange or on LocalBitcoins.

You can also try searching for traders here willing to deal with you but you'll either get scammed (as you already did), or told to get lost, or if you're lucky you might get a small amount exchanged with lots of paperwork and high fees.

Starting your own thread was pointless and you would have known that if you had spent a few minutes reading a POST PINNED AT THE FUCKING TOP OF THIS FUCKING BOARD.

Thank you for your advice and sorry my ignorance cost me $100 this time. Never again

Cheers

You can't use Paypal for bitcoin and "be more cautious". Escrow is not an option, as Paypal-chargebacks will end up at the escrow supplier. It may be possible to escrow the bitcoins only, but that still leaves the possibility of your Paypal being charged back sooner or later.
What you want is to exchange Paypal for bitcoin. It is (almost) impossible to do that in a secure way.

I hate to say it, but: I told you so! "Friends & Family is for, as the name says, friends and family.". You are trying to cheat Paypal's fees, one way or another someone gets scammed if you do that.
That's the last thing i need to hear now "I told you so". but fuck man i needed that beating.

You've sent $100 first to a member without any notable reputation (in difference, they even got a lot of negative untrusted feedback)?

Sorry for disclosing this info, i'm still new here Sad

Don't know about PokerPro but can say you'll eventually lose money (assuming you won't chargeback) or waste time sending first to members with negative negative feedback.

Good luck.

i'll send it through Friends & Family so you get every dollar. and i get 100% of the money converted into bitcoins too.
Friends & Family is for, as the name says, friends and family. I've read about someone who got his Paypal-account closed after accepting a payment from a scammer this way. This option is for people you know and trust, and it will be a charge back after creditcard fraud of if the account has been stolen.

There are safer ways to get your Bitcoins on your own Paypal-account.

I'm not looking to profit here, just looking to not lose value on my dollar.

Yes i am new, i have no experience trading here, but everyone's gotta start somewhere right.

Small trades are okay as well, starting from as low as $10

and yes it's a 1:1 exchange no charges, i'll send it through Friends & Family so you get every dollar. and i get 100% of the money converted into bitcoins too.

Everyone else is looking for profit & have peace in mind that this money won't be charged back.
You mean i should charge like 2-5% for the transaction?

and you say you're a business man?
I believe this is a forum where people share their ideas and what not about this beautiful concept of cryptocurrency, yes i do do business, i do it for a living.

But just because i want to perform a transaction that is free, without any extra chargers whatsoever.

I'm not a licensed currency exchanger or what not, and I'm not looking to profit from this either.

I believe there are many people out there that seeks for the opposite of what i'm looking for, i'm here to trade, not for profit. just take this a giving back to the community will ya. not everything has to have a catch...

Either you're too naive or pretending that you don't know how PayPal works (I assume it's the 2nd part as you deal a lot with PayPal)

What country do you live in? Since when did PayPal start charging fees to withdraw to a bank account?

1:1 - LOL. Let's be real here, even those who've been around for awhile have a hard time getting 1:1 deals. You being a new member would be looking at +~20% at minimum, if you can even find someone willing to do that.

1:1 ratio exchange is okay for me, I don't need to earn from here. And I will also absorb the PayPal receiving fees, but no foreign exchange fees, so it will be great if your PayPal is in USD as well.
eg.
$50 dollar worth of BTC, you get $50 in your PayPal account.
It's great you're OK with an 1:1 trade, since you're on the side that usually pays the premium Grin

Start from low amounts, we can build trust.
As sardasa said, you're paying with a reversible payment option, which can be easily revoked up to 180 days,
the other party would pay in a non-reversible payment option, without any option to revoke their payment (in case you reverse after some weeks/months).

New story for scamming? Person who sells you BTC would be at risk for next 6 months as PayPal can be charged back for up to next 180 days but BTC cannot.
I do not trust it either. Paypal has a lot of very decent options to transfer money to your own bank account, in my country without extra charge. Of course you pay a percentage to convert USD to your local currency, but you can also make your customers pay in your local currency directly. There are better ways to do this, if it is a legit offer. The fact that you want bitcoins makes me doubt your offer.
All in all this sounds like an offer I would not trust.

I'm currently running a business here in my country. My business requires me to use PayPal as one of my payment solution, of course there is other payment methods, but many of my customers prefer PayPal.

My Paypal Account is in USD, and converting it to my local currency is just too expensive, not to mention PayPal charges a percentage when withdrawing to my bank account.

I'm willing to sell my PayPal USD for BTC, I'm only looking to avoid the fees incurring during currency exchange, not looking to profit here.
PayPal foreign exchange fees are just too high.
