I'm just curious, is there much paperwork and legal proceedings to selling/buying a gun like an AR-15 online which would have to be shipped?
Depends on the state.
The majority of states is as simple as me telling my FFL that I'm shipping a gun to this outside FFL, they contact the buyers FFL and arrange all the paperwork. Once the gun is received by the buyers FFL... you just go down, fill out the normal paperwork with then and walk out with your gun!
The both FFL's charges like $10-$25 for the paperwork they do.
Easy.
Ah ok, thanks. That makes more sense. For some reason in my mind it would be legal to do a completely private sale. I give you bitcoin, you mail me gun (or meet up), lol!
