And yes, I have tried contacting them... the missus even moaned at them on Facebook (which apparently is the best way to get their attention it would seem)... Got some badly spell checked canned response and was told that our shipping address was invalid. Which is rubbish... the shipping address is perfectly fine, Amazon ship stuff to it all the time
Then they told me to call them... so I wasted some more money on an international call to the States, talked to the nice guy for like 30 mins entering my order manually, confirming address and billing info etc... for him to tell me that he was getting the same error
Then we tried the package forwarding address and that was OK, but there was some issue with the credit card payment (Total order value was over $50 so I was trying to pay the rest with my Credit Card)... so then the guy talked to the Finance team to attempt to figure out if it was a "Verification of Address" issue and whether I needed to get my bank on a 3-way call to verify my address... another 10 minutes on hold...
And then the icing on the cake was after I handed over to the finance team guy, I randomly got put on hold and then the call disconnected
45 minutes of my life I'm not getting back. At this point, I'm just totally over it... I just want to get "some" money back so I can go and use Amazon because that just works...
As a side note... the gift card was originally purchased using Bitcoins from eGifters.com. (I can probably show the receipt and sign a message from the bitcoin address if a potential buyer wants proof)
