Damn, those bars sure are sexy!

I actually know the seller in real life; bigger silver junkie than I am!

killyou72, you can find information on Engelhards here:  http://allengelhard.com/  Go to "Definitive Pages" then select the size you are looking for.  Also, stop being such a little shit.

Edit to add: beat me to it by minutes!

How much are you seeking? Just because there are less than 10 known doesn't mean there are anywhere near that amount

Where are you getting the knowledge that only 10 are known?

Why should these have a high collectible value? Just because they are old and scarce doesn't mean they should be worth that much over spot

I appreciate your questions and will do my best to answer them. I play a small part with www.allengelhard.com in documenting these types of silver ingots. Part of that process involves knowing each ingot that has come up for sale and recording the serial numbers. After a while a database is build and can then provide infornation. I am friendly with most of the biggest collectors around the world who have significant investment in this market.

Anyone who is familar with vintage poured silver bar's knows the market is on absolute fire right now. Older US mint 5oz ingots are selling in the upwards of $3000.00 a piece. There are countless  recorded sales on allengelhard.com to support these numbers. As well as eBay and www.worthpoint.com.

The poured silver collectable market carries massive premiums similar to those of the crypto collectable market. Which is why I have been drawn into the crypto market.

The 5kg ingot values around $900 per kilo. The 1000g Harrington DCL ingots are priced at $1000 a piece. Please check out www.allengelhard.com if you have anymore questions. Most of the answers will be there.

Thank you

You should not speak of things you do not understand. Learn, think, talk.

I have a couple old vintage silver bars for sale. Producted during late 70s to early 80s. Each carry low mintages according to www.allengelhard.com and have been authenticated. Go to the other refiner link on the main page. You will see Harringtons on the drop down. Use odd weight- Engelhard to read up on the 5kg bar.

The 5kg 999 Engelhard Silver bar has an estimated mintage of <2500. Do to the shear size many were melted down during the high silver price. There are less then 10 known at this time. In a few of the photos there are two bars. Each are for sale but photos can be used to reference the size of the 5kg bar!

SOLD Two consecutive serial number Harringtons Metallurgist PTY 1000g Silver Bars. Estimated mintage of <100. Produced in early 80s out of Australia. A small refiner who produced mainly industrial silver. They also offered a service to the public. Where they could bring their silver to them. They would charge a fee and refine it for the customer.  Amazing pour lines and toning on the consecutive pair!  These were part of a newly discovered variety. The DCL counterstamp usually carries a production date along with serial number. These two just have a serial number. These can also be found on Allengelhard.com SOLD

If you have any questions feel free to send PM. Photos on this listing are not the best. I can provide better photos upon request. I have no issues using an escrow service through Lesbiancow.
