Could you send the screen shots of any sort of proof that you have that the wallet has the bitcoins ? What if someone stupid enough buys it and ends up with fuck-all ?You could have some sort of transactions txid's or whatever?

He said that he can go first so there is no risk of getting scammed if he actually does that.

I pm'ed him and he doesn't want to go first......

This is an obvious scam attempt and similar threads have been posted from several accounts already. Check the trust I've left on OP's account and read this:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.13130419

You are saying it may have password that is impossible to crack, but he said he will sell the password too.
And obviously if the password is wrong I wouldn't pay.

Of course the password won't work. Why would he sell it if he were honest. He will say he doesn't trust anybody to send first and he will set up an escrow with the condition he checks only for the balance so he can scam as described in the post I linked.

He will keep trying until someone agrees that out of greed. Just stay away.

This simply do not make any sense. I mean, why would you sell your wallet.dat that contains 31 BTC when you can hire someone to crack the password for you and you can offer like 10% of the wallet balance to the one who help you to crack the password?

@Vod I have the password.
Yes, I do have the password but I have literally NO idea how to use this wallet.dat because I have ubuntu & when I try;
Electrum - It spazzes out
BLockchain - Isn't supported anymore
Pywallet - Won't work

No I'm not his alt, we have similar problems.

So... You basically have a wallet.dat, containing almost 31BTC (more than $14.000 at current preev rate), and you're asking $1400 for the wallet.dat because you cannot figure out the technical procedure to follow in order to get the $14.000 out.
Sounds strange to me. Are you by any chance a nigerian prince Wink

If i were you, i'd offer a bounty of 10% for any green trusted member that can transfer the funds from the wallet.dat to an account of yours... Ofcourse you'd have to send your wallet.dat to them without asking for bitcoins...
I'm pretty sure, in case you're legit, you'll find a highly trusted member willing to do this job for 2 or 3BTC, letting you keep 28-29BTC instead of 3.

EDIT: i'd be willing to try this for you, but i do not have green trust... It's up to you really.

I can try to import it and if I get it done I will send your 3btc to you?
