One 7950 started on fire.
One sold.
One semi melted.
One is mining.
This thread is done now.......
What the fuck, man? Do you live in a volcano or just spill coffee all over these? Cheesy

"7950s suck"

I've run several hundred cards since 2010 and I've never had good luck with the 7950,6950 or 6990.  These were also used not new and a paid didn't travel well.

I have a 7870 that I used for gaming and very moderate mining I might be looking to trade up. Its been awhile but if I remember correctly with very minimal effort I got it to 400khs. Which R9 290 is it? And which 7950's do you have?

290 See above.

The two in stock 7950s are...

Code:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Tahiti PRO [Radeon HD 7950] (prog-if 00 [VGA controller])
Subsystem: Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. Device 2761

They are miner modified:
I move the TIM to cover all of the chips since AMD is to lazy.
I put real thermal paste over the GPU since AMD is to lazy.
I put copper heat-sinks on all of the chips that since AMD is to lazy to cool.
I remove the air-flow prevention device (I mean PCI bracket) this one is the consumers issue not really AMD's.  After a few years in enterprise data centers you learn that ANYTHING blocking ANY portion of the intake or exhaust of an air-cooled computer system is a complete waste.  This includes those pretty dell covers (garbage) cable organizers (garbage) bad wiring leading to a spider web behind the exhaust (re-wire) and PCI Brackets.

The other three are still en-route, or gnar1ta$ got scammed on them either way I don't have model information yet.

Any interest in Asus R9 270x DC2T-GD5 (the Direct CU ones)? They are just newer 7870s.

Reference or Non?

Non-reference.

I bought them on Amazon for $250 each here:
http://www.amazon.com/ASUS-R9270X-DC2T-2GD5-Graphics-Cards/dp/B00FW4A5YU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1389060970&sr=8-1&keywords=r9+270x+asus

I got 2 of them two days before Christmas. They have only been hashing since then and I have the original boxes and accessories. They get about 400 k/hs each on Windows with a simple -I 18 (I haven't messed with settings at all, they should be able to get 450 with clocking tweaks and what not). They are practically silent, the fans only run at 1500 to 2500 rpm at a 75 degree temp target. When compared to the jet engine sound of my really old reference 7950, this was a nice surprise.

I am out of PCIe slots in my two rigs and want to get above 2 m/hs, hence why I also keep bidding on your cloud hashing deals haha.

What kind of 290 do you have? Depending on manufacturer and condition, I would trade both for it since it opens up a PCIe slot and the value/hashrate is similar.

The 290 is an XFX R9 290 (Black OC 4GB DDR5 Marketing babble etc.)

Code:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Hawaii PRO (prog-if 00 [VGA controller])
Subsystem: XFX Pine Group Inc. Device 9295

It's a week old. With the box. Does 780Khash @ 75 degree temp target.

On what planet is trading a single 620kh 7950 for a single 360kh 7850 even a remotely decent deal?

I trade fair and I'm not looking to get gouged.

I have 5 x 7950 onsite or in route.  As well as one r9 290.  I'm looking for 7870 or 7850.

Are your 7950's new?

I have the 7850 you sold me a while back if interested how would the trade work?

Dammit.  Selling me back my own hardware is just, well, funny.

I was looking to get something out of this deal like two 7850 for one 7950 or a 7850 and BTC.

That is all.  I despise 7950's.  I'd like 7850s. I'll get models and pics later.

I also have a really annoying R280 or 290 jet engine.

If you have 7850s or can get them cheap.  Post and I'll update this.
