What is it with all these newbies finding all these obscure exchanges?

Let's say I will disregard the response above that OP might promoting the exchange, the common reason why these newbies often using a non-popular crypto exchange is because of engaging on such projects promotions or bounties.

These coins/tokens can only be traded on those non-popular exchanges because it's quiet easy to be listed on those. Also on some cases, the project itselfs owns the platform.

Even those persons that I introduced in crypto are asking me some details about a certain exchanges on which I don't know where on the world they found it. Since they have no choice but to trade their reward coins there, then they have to face the risks.

On the main point, people should used their common sense in here. It's a dumb move to just deposit money on a non-popular exchange.

The purpose of this thread may very well be the owner of this site trying to promote his/her scam exchange as well or something of the sort
If so, it for sure is the most shitty form of promotion then, basically everyone here is trashing that exchange. Cheesy

though I do find it more likely OP legitimately wants to know if this site is legit, which it is most likely not.
It wouldn't surprise me if OP is one of the many noobs having seen someone in a chat or pump group shill this exchange. It's mind boggling how people can't figure out for themselves that a random stranger recommending an exchange or service is likely out to scam you. No wonder there are so many scammers active on the internet. Roll Eyes

I dont really even see the purpose of using a lesser known exchange to trade crypto- there are plenty of options out there for trading without KYC if that's what you wish to go for, and these days, verification through KYC on most exchanges isn't as tedious as it used to be back at the ATH as demand's largely disappeared for exchanges. It's always best to stick to the larger and better-known exchanges if you're looking for a less risky option to trade. It's not worth risking your money on something like this.

The purpose of this thread may very well be the owner of this site trying to promote his/her scam exchange as well or something of the sort, though I do find it more likely OP legitimately wants to know if this site is legit, which it is most likely not.

Just to add to this, they have a freakin gmail support email LOL. Not saying that it's a scam solely due to their email address, but it definitely shows how not-so professional they are.
Them using a gmail address instead of a domain tied email address shows that there probably weren't enough funds available to buy an email package when they registered--purchased that domain, which is pathetic.

It's more than likely a noob waiting for someone with a decent amount of coins to make a deposit so he can shut it down and disappear. If anyone actually uses that exchange thinking it's real you're asking to get scammed.

It's one thing to use Yobit-like exchanges, but this obvious trash? Come on....

It seems like that the Original name of the Exchange was "Bitwin Exchange" since the site displays the logo (footer) as Bitwin.
If it was Bitwin, then this must be the ANN thread of the ICO where it originated and Yikes!~ Take a look at the Author's Trust History (links say it all).

What is it with all these newbies finding all these obscure exchanges?
Beats me, but I got good guesses:
  • They found the Ad from Faucet sites which has 80% Ponzi ScamsAds, 10% Fake ICOs, 5% Fake Exchanges & 5% Referral links.
  • Newbies who received Airdropped Token/ShitCoin & finding a way to sell them only to find that it's only listed on these type of Exchange.
  • Some are posting the url of the site on the thread title as a silly publicity stunt.

Do you know if UUC abd coc tokens are valid or the entire thing is a scam ?

You mean the tokens that are solely listed on their site?

I did some research and there is pretty much nothing found about the exchange is question nor the tokens that you mentioned, apart from the ANN thread that AdolfinWolf mentioned. The UUC and COC tokens that are listed on Bitwinex aren't listed on coinmarketcap at all, which means that most likely, Bitwinex is the only exchange that are listing them.

I wouldn't be surprised if Bitwinex are affiliated with the tokens that you are talking about here. To be completely honest, I think that the volumes that are generated on their site with these trading pairs are fake and just can't be real. I mean, 20k USDT in a trade for a token that no one knows about.

My best guess would be the same as Adolfin's. The site and the tokens are a complete scam most likely, and even if they aren't, there isn't any reason to be using them.

No, i haven't heard of this exchange, and i definitely wouldn't use it either.

- No traffic - https://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/bitwinex.co
- They report an insane amount of volume on their site, which either is external volume not coming from them but from another site (?) or fake.

Their project seems to have died MONTHS ago, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4645318.80, and they since removed their ANN.

Don't deposit a penny, unless you want to lose it, in which case, there is also an adress in my profile you could send coins to.
