- The third tab is more interesting, having added the following filter (having created at least 500 posts in a year): Merit per Post (>=500 postDiff)

Note:
- Sorting by merit/post over the last year is a bit of trickster, since many of the top ratios correspond to forum members who have created very few posts over the last year (and can also be influenced by deleted posts). The third tab with the added filter avoids most outlier effects of the kind.

Very interesting indeed.

I made this nice graph outlining some users that sits on the "frontier" (plus some quasi-random users of my choice).

The outcome is quite interesting, nothing that wasn't told by raw numbers, but I think visualising is fare more easier.

Very interesting the fact that cutting the post threshold @ 500 left out some really outstanding users with lower post count:

Code:
gmaxwell         206  6.1
theymos          443  5.81
achow101         255  3.96
lovesmayfamilis  346  2.73
Corrosive        318  2.71
tvplus006        390  2.04
SaltySpitoon     254  1.91
aundroid         403  1.89
Plutosky         439  1.37
AakZaki          330  1.33

The same graph would be like this:

Quite different I would say.

Sorting by merit/post over the last year is a bit of trickster

It's quite sobering for me - I thought I was doing well, number 23 on the top recent merit list... but I'm number 970 on your merit per post list!
I hope it is skewed by those with ultra low output. I'm trying to avoid coming to the conclusion that I'm only getting merit because I'm spewing out posts at an insane speed. Cheesy

OP, keep up the good work. Keep putting lots of effort into your posts, be helpful to other forum members and write interesting content/posts and you will rank up in no time.

I can't say it better Smiley
@OP when you build your reputration the things will be easier. Funny stats, if I calculate mine i'm coming closed to 1 merit on every second post Cheesy and almost 2 merit on every 1 activity Smiley
I wish you could surpass me one day Smiley

Actually, I just did that for my local board (see Número de posts creados en un año por parte de miembros de nuestro foro local ), although applying some restrictions to avoid having to scrape anything, and use what I’ve already got (i.e. snapshot of merited profiles as of last Friday and a year before).

The criteria I used was:

- Forum members merited before 01/03/2019.

- That have posted on the forum over the last year (net post count <> 0)

- Contrasting data between 28/02/2020 and  01/03/2019.

With the above restrictions, the data for the forum on the whole (and not just my local board) is as follows over the last year:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1t4UFfM226g2EIXq5d5F_V6M3Yazo-U9Ir7NGmQHep_k/edit?usp=sharing

- The first tab is ordered by profile name (Use CTRL+F to search for a given name)
- The second tab is ordered by merit/post (over the last year).

Is anyone recording stats for the ratio between earned merit and total posts?  I wouldn't mind seeing a leaderboard for that.  Considering I got here at the tail end of 2013, my ratio seems pretty decent.

We old timers are at a disadvantage, as there weren't any merits when we started. Good boys were allowed to give out the pencils though. Smiley

My goodness, that is giving away my age - I bet they don't even have pencils in schools any more.

1 Merit received per 10 posts made is a pretty good ratio, it’s tough to get noticed & receive Merit at the best of times especially for a noobish account. Congrats OP!

It isn't necessarily to make a thread like this if you just wanted to save your nice merit.

You can post it here, Save your nice merit records, here.. You will find different users saving their unforgettable merit records there.

Keep on posting and contributing a good quality post, you will never know you will receive beyond your expectation.

Congrats on that achievement you had.
