I finally contacted them, and they told me that they will update users within 2 weeks. However I'm skeptical about this. Why the took that much time?I mean today we are 5th September and they need 2 more weeks to come out to users with a good reason.
What do you think of this guys? For sure,I'm leaving that Wallet after they give out users bitcoin cash, found out that electrum wallet is way better.

If you want to transact with any secondary digital currency that is created after August 1st, you should move your funds out of Xapo now. We do not have an estimated date for when the other supported blockchain will be safe to transact.

Xapo is not the only wallet that has this dislike for BCH even blockchain does not recognize BCH too but their is a way of spliting your BCH from BTC by exporting your keys.

Xapo doesn't offer exporting keys feature. They said that they will give us 2 options, either withdraw BCH to our wallet or let them sell it for us and give us the equivalent of what they got by selling it in our BTC wallet.I sent them an email hopefully they answer

They are kinda late in my opinion.BCH price is dropping more and more,I'm just starting to think that they took the coins for themselves.. Undecided
They have informed the users to withdraw their coins if they need to have the split coins and they were clearly not supporting BCH but now they have come to a decision that they will be giving out the coins to every user which is really great to the users who were complaining and were planning to sue them and basically they have the choice to delay the proceedings . Grin
agree with you Grin i've use xapo for a long time, and now if they don't give us BCH what can we do ? just wait or move your BTC to other wallet and don't use xapo anymore (lol) Grin

This is right and I didn't withdraw my bitcoin before the split. I'm facing the same problem right now, we weren't updated as their customer service told us. If they say they will credit our bch, waiting is no good right now. It's 12 August.

We are 16th August right now and still no update no email nothing.I will send them an email right now hopefully they answer.I may seem pessimistic but I really think that they will never credit our BCH nor reply to my email.
They probably sold it long time ago and runned away with the money.Just my thoughts guys but I would like to hear from experts. What can we do if they runned away with our cash?
Have they stated to credit the free bch into the bitcoin holder's account? But i never heard before if you are saying it and i will believe the xapo provider will not be distributed the bticoin cash into the holders.

Hello pals,
I'm using Xapo wallet and before fork they sent to users this message via email:

Xapo will give you the choice to withdraw the coins in the secondary blockchain or to let Xapo sell the coins in that secondary blockchain and automatically add that value to your account in the supported blockchain. There is no estimated date as to when this will be determined, as it will be only when we deem it safe and sensible to do so.

I undertood that the fact they will give us the choice to either withdraw our BCH or convert it to BTC but, today we are 8 august and I still can't see any option to do that. What to do guys?

Seems pretty clear that your only option is to continue to wait until Xapo "deem it safe and sensible" to do something... If you're super anxious to know... have you considered contacting Xapo and asking them? Huh
Yeah I should consider sending an email to them explaining the issue.

Bitcoin Cash (BCH) balances will be credited by 8/14, for more information: https://poloniex.com/press-releases/2017.08.03-Bitcoin-Cash-Update/

^ this is for Poloniex. Likewise, you'll have to wait for Xapo to sort their shit out and start crediting their users with BCH.

As if I created an effort such as the exchange of bitcoin. This will require a very high cost .. and I do not want loss. all people join some members and use my service of course this is a big advantage generated from the members .. for what xapo create it?because need advantage. I agree with you.

I have very little holding there, so I will not even bother oppening a support ticket there, but if someone has any news on how it is going, I will be happy to learn about how it is going.

Hi Aveatrex,

This communication is to explain what you can expect from Xapo in the event of a fork in the Bitcoin blockchain - which may occur on August 1st, 2017.

There is a proposal, known as Bitcoin Cash, that may create a fork in the Bitcoin network. This means that after August 1st, 2017 there may be two versions of the Bitcoin blockchain and two separate digital currencies: the original Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash.

Xapo ensures the security of our customers’ bitcoins above all else and, in the event of a fork, your assets will be safe at Xapo.

We may, however, temporarily halt incoming and outgoing transfers from the Bitcoin network until we confirm that such transfers can be done safely.

We may also temporarily suspend the Xapo Debit Card and the conversion from dollars and other currencies to bitcoin and vice versa.

In other words, your assets will be safe at Xapo but you may not be able to transact for a period of time.

In the event of two surviving blockchains, we will support one blockchain, the one with the most accumulated difficulty.

So, if you would like to make bitcoin transactions during a fork, you will need to move your bitcoins out of Xapo before 23:00hrs UTC on July 31st. Any funds in the Vault that you would like to use during a fork will need to be retrieved from the Vault no later than 23:00 hrs UTC on July 28th so you have sufficient time to send them out of Xapo before the fork.

If you want to transact with any secondary digital currency that is created after August 1st, you should move your funds out of Xapo now. We do not have an estimated date for when the other supported blockchain will be safe to transact.

At Xapo, your bitcoins are secure and we allow you to decide what to do with the coins in your account.

The Xapo Team

P.S. this is a no-reply email, but if need be, you can contact us!

I undertood that the fact they will give us the choice to either withdraw our BCH or convert it to BTC but, today we are 8 august and I still can't see any option to do that. What to do guys?
