To gain access to site they want me to stand holding photo id. Don't think so.

That is why I'm avoiding to use Xapo wallet. I have an account there, but I don't use.

Now the internet mania is the "control of web", they want your ID, you photo, documents... People should stop using services that ask for this kind of personal informations. Unfortunelly some of them we can't stop using, like Facebook, because it's important for our advertising activities. But I would like to stop Facebook, because they want all personal informations.

I miss the old times of internet... I just would like to have the BTCs on that time.

You are right in a way. Before there was much more anonimity on Internet and that was what most people liked about it. I liked that too. But back then there was also not so many bad things going on like all sorts of scams, frauds, stealing of identity, online terrorism, money laundering.... Internet has changed big time.
Ssrvices like Xapo are just trying to protect themselves and their users against all that.
Unfortunately with time we will have less and less anonimity and privacy online.

I   dont  really use  this  kind  of wallets which  really needs some  Documents  for  verifications  because   sometimes you are  compromising your  identity and  your  ID and   i dont  like it  that  other  people would  know. Thats  why  i  use  bitcoin for  anonymity  purposes . I use blockchain  instead i dont  mind  if  i cant   buy  bitcoins  with the use of those wallets.

do not have access to the wallet Shocked
From 05/11/2016 there is no access to the wallet, after undergoing verification. The documents provided 05.11.2016. But 8 days there is no access to the wallet.
Twice already I wrote in support. No answer.

I would avoid all online wallets if possible, having to verify yourself with ID is ridiculous for a currency that is meant to be anonymous. I think it's worth paying the transaction fees just to be anonymous since I understand xapo does not charge transaction fees.

I had not used since their xapo enact policies to include self-identity, was strongly opposed to bitcoin. we likes bitcoin because anonymous.

Xapo, like Coinbase have these random id checks. Don't worry. It goes to show they're strict on their anti-theft and anti-terrorism rules.

But I'd urge you not to give your ID out so freely. Couldve been a MITM attack.

Not long ago only last week I also ended up in this situation of verifying my ID and other proofs. But the only good thing with me is their support team responded on the same day, and my account has become fully active within 24 hours. Don't know whether I'm lucky or what now my account is fully active and I also use their debit card.

I've got the answer from Xapo support, my document are accepted and everything is fine now. Like I supposed the reason for this checks was anti-money laundering and anti-terrorism policy, which is fully understandable having in mind what is happenig all around us and that there were also some expamples that Bitcoin was missused for dirty work. I guess if they wanted to keep their reputation and be part of reliable financial services they had to do that. I'd just wish that the support is more agile and more on users disposal.

I think both xapo and coinbase care much about KYC policy and seems like centralized bitcoin wallet with lots of restriction including no gambling allowed type sense. I only use blockchain.info and electrum wallet myself, have heard several similar story from members but that about coinbase seems like now xapo is also on the same way of coinbase.

Have submitted docs and emailed support etc, guess i just hold on and see. I´m in agreeance its new policy as there seems to be a few people with same issue. They best be fast sorting this!

Not only you having problem with Xapo these days. Look at this tread
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/xapo-hot-wallet-service-did-turn-into-scam-be-aware-1529609
It's worst that is almost impossible to comtact Xapo support.
You may try to contact Jessie from Xapo
https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/jessiexapo-521651. Maybe she would help to resolve your problem.

Recently when I was trying to access my Xapo account I was asked to provide my ID and proof of address, although I have already provided this when I registered. I also had to answer some questions about my incomes and trading volume. My documents are under review and I have limited access to my account and therefore I can't fund it. When I submited documents I got the message that they are beeing review manualy and that they will shortly send me an update to my registered email. It's been a week from that and still nothing. The support is not answering to my emails. So, does anyone has similar experience and when can I expect to have fuly access to my account again? So far I had only good experinece with Xapo but this now makes me mad. Is this a part of their new policy?
