Thats what a dead gpu looks like my friend. How hard and hot did you run it?

It was on Agression 12-13, fan 75%, never got above 70C and I had it hooked up for less than a day. I ran bitcoin on it for about 1-2 hours at max. It was OCed to 900mhz GPU Clock and 1000mhz memory clock.

Card 1 won't display an image after 1-2 sec of BIOS.
Card 2 has pixels all over the screen that flicker.

Are both of these cards on their way out?

XFX is going to RMA both of these cards. The one with pixels I'm going to keep because at 900mhz OC I'm getting 249mh/s out of it. Better to have for the coming week than not having it. Already had to wait about 3 weeks to get them. Grr.

I just got my 5830 hooked up (have 2 but need L-shaped SATA cables to get the second in) and I'm having issues:

[ 7/1/2011 4:49:33 PM] I installed my card, installed the drivers and it was working fine. Then it switched to grey vertical lines and I can`t get any video to come up. Not even the BIOS is coming up. Any ideas? I`m going to put in my second 5830 this afternoon to see if that helps.
[ERIK_A 7/1/2011 4:57:55 PM] Hi Matt, If you are not getting any video signal out of the card at all at this point, then its a hardware issue, malfunctioned card, slot, or power supply would be the prime suspects in something like that, but if the system isnt booting at all could also throw motherboard, CPU, and memory in as well. Does the board give any beep codes, that may help point towards where the issue would lie if the other 5830 doesnt work. - Erik
[ 7/1/2011 5:09:40 PM] I switched DVI ports and it posted BIOS but then 2 seconds later it hit with black and white vertical lines. I can`t use PCIE slot 2 right now because I need to get some l-shaped SATA cables. I`m going to try the second card now.
[ 7/1/2011 5:13:21 PM] Second card is in, boots past BIOS and seems to be booting up fine. Same port, same PSU, same everything.
[ 7/1/2011 5:14:40 PM] Booted to Win7 64 bit. There are tons of green pixels flickering through the monitor. I`ll try to restart to see if it helps.
[ 7/1/2011 5:20:30 PM] Very strange. The windows login page is fine, no pixels. I rotated through a few different background images and they have green pixels on them. BIOS is fine too. I just uninstalled the drivers for this second 5830 and it seems fine now. I`m going to reinstall the drivers now to see if it helps.
[ 7/1/2011 5:27:46 PM] Same issue, reinstalled the drivers, restarted, same result. lots of green pixels that flicker and move around. Card 1 - was fine, great picture but after 1 day of using it it won`t display video it seems card 2 - boots fine but has lots of green pixels when booted into windows.

Has anyone experienced these symptoms before?
